HFMD CAN HAPPEN AGAIN. 😭🦠
Last year, September 18, 2025, nagka-HFMD si Shebby. Akala namin tapos na at hindi na mauulit…
But this year, September 16, 2026, nag-HFMD ulit siya. 🥺
Honestly, hindi namin in-expect na after a year, pagdadaanan na naman namin ito. Seeing your little one covered in rashes is heartbreaking, lalo na kapag makati at uncomfortable siya. 😭
Praise God, okay naman si Shebby overall. Pero grabe talaga yung rashes niya this time. As a mom, ang hirap makita siyang hindi comfortable, especially kapag nangangati at gusto niyang kamutin.
Kaya naisip ko ring i-share ito, kasi baka may ibang parents din na tulad namin na akala once lang magkakaroon ng HFMD ang bata.
Yes, HFMD can happen again. It can be caused by different viruses, so having it before does not necessarily mean na hindi na ito mauulit.
HFMD can come with fever, sore throat, painful mouth sores, and rashes or blisters around the hands, feet, mouth, arms, legs, and other areas.
Since contagious din ito, extra careful talaga kami ngayon with hygiene, handwashing, cleaning/disinfecting toys and frequently touched surfaces, and avoiding close contact with others while Shebby is sick.
Based on our experience only:
Sharing this not to scare other parents, but simply to raise awareness. Every child can have a different experience with HFMD, so if your little one develops symptoms, it’s always best to monitor closely and consult your pediatrician when needed.
Praying for all the little ones currently battling HFMD. 🙏🏻🤍
Get well soon, our babies.
