Every time I catch myself overthinking whether I should post something, thinking maybe other people already have it, or that what I’m sharing isn’t as big or impressive as what others have achieved, I have to remind myself that it’s okay. 🍃

I remind myself that it’s okay to move at my own pace.

Life was never meant to have the same deadlines for everyone. Not the same goals. Not the same timeline. Not the same experiences.

Some of us achieve things earlier.
Some of us take a little longer.

Some commit to relationships when it feels right.
Some buy things when they’re finally comfortable.
Some focus on getting healthier when life allows the space for it.

And sometimes the only thing getting in the way is the way we think about it. 💭

We let comparison convince us that we’re behind,
when really we’re just living life on our own timeline.

And maybe that’s the point.

Maybe the goal was never to keep up with everyone else.
Maybe it was simply to keep going at our own pace.

We hear this line a lot, “Your prefrontal cortex has finally developed.” 😅

And yeeep, it’s true.

When was the moment you realized you could make your own decisions?

When did you stop relying on your parents or anyone to tell you what to do? From the simplest things to the hardest life choices.

When did you start understanding that some of your actions carry real weight? That some decisions shape who you become and who you can never be again.

These aren’t things we fully understand when we’re young.

They’re things we grow into.
Things we realize through experience, through mistakes, through time.

Perspective doesn’t arrive all at once.
It builds quietly until one day, you realize you’re no longer the person you used to be.

Just better and now aware ✨
