Stop Clapping for Survival. Start Asking for Protection.

Why do we keep calling it “resilience”
when it’s really just people being left to suffer alone?

Every year, we see the same thing:
Floods. People walking through dirty water.
Holding their kids. Holding on to what little they can save.

And then we call them heroes for surviving.

But here’s the truth:
Surviving shouldn’t be the goal.
It means something went wrong.
It means the system failed, AGAIN.

Where are the leaders before the storm hits?
Why is help always late?
Why do we keep fixing the damage
instead of stopping it in the first place?

We don’t need more photos of politicians handing out relief goods.
We need real plans, real action, and real protection
before disasters happen.

Because YES, Filipinos are strong.
But we shouldn’t have to be this strong all the time.

We deserve better.
We deserve safety, not just survival.

Let’s stop praising struggle.
Let’s start demanding real change.
