MIPANGI HILLTOP LAUNCHING FINALLY TAKES PLACE
The Mipangi Hilltop that is situated on a high, steep slope, and hilly part of Sitio Tagaytay, Brgy. Mipangi, Nabunturan, Davao de Oro is now officially a part of the tourism destinations in the heart of the Valley with its successful launching today, December 9, 2022. The new destination will surely become a new favorite spot to those who wishes to stay in a serene and scenic area with a complete 360 degrees view of the provinces of Davao de Oro and Davao del Norte.
To get to the area, the ride will take 30 minutes traversing from the Barangay Hall of Mipangi towards the parking area of the hilltop; with additional 172 steps to reach the top, the sight will surely take your breath away if not the strenuous instant exercise you get from climbing. The elevation of the hilltop that is 1629 feet from the sea level offers a perfect spot to see and marvel the Maco port and the Philippine’s highest mountain- Mt. Apo Sandawa.
Along the way, you’ll also get to meet locals welcoming you with their friendly and smiling faces who will also be one of the providers who will serve food in the area. Aside from its aerial view, this new tourism destination also offers pure honey fresh from the hive without compromising the lives of the bees.
The launching of the Mipangi Hilltop would have never taken place if not for the active and assertive efforts of the Barangay Captain, Hon. Romeo Arizo Sr., and with the full support of the Local Government Unit of Nabunturan’s Committee on Tourism- SB Debie Tan, the mother of the Municipality, Hon. Myrocel Clarin-Balili, our energetic Governor, Hon. Dorothy Montejo-Gonzaga, and Congressman Ruwel Peter Gonzaga.
