What if the person everyone judges is actually the one who deserves to be heard the most?

Ang Paglilitis ni Mang Serapio, written by Paul Dumol, is a insightful Filipino play that goes beyond the story of an elderly beggar facing a trial. It tackles the realities of poverty, injustice, discrimination, and social inequality.

The story mainly focuses on Mang Serapio, an elderly beggar who becomes involved in a situation that leads to his "trials". This play demonstrates social injustice, it shows us that not everyone has the same opportunity to be heard, understood, and defended.

It also highlights poverty and discrimination. Through Mang Serapio's character, we see how society can sometimes judge a person based on their appearance, social status, or economic condition rather than on their character and humanity.

Isang makabuluhan at mapangahas na teatro na magbibigay-diin sa mga nangyari, nangyayari, at maaaring mangyari sa bansang ating minamahalโ€”ang Pilipinas. Sa pamamagitan ng mga karakter na sumasalamin sa ibaโ€™t ibang mukha ng lipunan, ilalahad nito ang mga sugat ng nakaraan, ang mga realidad na kinakaharap ng bayan sa kasalukuyan, at ang mga posibilidad na naghihintay sa hinaharap.

Hango sa Kahapon, Ngayon at Bukas ni Aurelio Tolentino, ang pagtatanghal ay hindi lamang isang pagsasadula ng kasaysayan, kundi isang paalala na ang mga pangyayari noon ay may kaugnayan sa mga nangyayari ngayon at maaaring maging salamin ng ating bukas. Sa gitna ng pagtataksil, pang-aapi, pakikipaglaban, pagkakaisa, at paghahangad ng kalayaan, itatanong ng teatro: Ano ang natutuhan natin sa kahapon? Ano ang ginagawa natin ngayon? At ano ang ihahanda natin para sa bukas?

History remembers the battlefields, but what happened inside the homes where the revolution was quietly kept alive?

Written by Palanca award-winning playwright Edward Perez and produced by ARTIST, Inc., Maldita 1896 breaks down traditional colonial narratives to spotlight the fierce, defiant, and unsung women of the 1896 Philippine Revolution.

Through one of its plays "May Dalaw" the production strips away the stereotype of the submissive colonial woman. Instead, it introduces us to women serving as tactical strategists, keepers of classified documents, front-line suppliers, and fierce protectors of the Katipunan resistance.

The title plays on a witty double entendre: dalaw as a womanโ€™s cycle, and dalaw as a secret visitor. It is a powerful reminder that womanhood and resistance have always been intertwined.

SA NGALAN NG AMA

Will control over the family ever stop?

Sa Ngalan Ng Ama showed how 1 would always likely want to be on top of everything including their family's lives. Emmanuel signifies how a man rule even in the family's estate, commanding everyone instead of listening to each one of them and encouraging their feelings. Dolor delivers what does it feel to drain yourself for someone you truly loved despite the fact it's ruining you. Fatima holds back from being a disappointment and instead accepted her faith with quiet defiance. Miguel's role is significant to people who chose to seek the rights of the people instead of letting them suffer in silence and would rather get himself into danger just to save others. Angelo being a compliant youngest son and fearing to disobey his father's wishes just to keep the family lineage. Yaya Marya indicates loyalty to the Family Villasante knowing how cruel and rough it has been to be a part of an authorative and suffocating household. Manuela, The innocent child and grandaughter hat was born from the assault that her Mother Fatima went through during her college years and the reason why Fatima Villasante continued living after being forced to marry her husband who was also the one who made her feel little everyday.

In conclusion, every aspect of decisions will result in a better or worse case scenarios based on the person's perspective and personal experiences.

Family's not always a home, Sometimes it's the reason why we're afraid to build our own life and create a new tomorrow.
