The School of Business and Accountancy proudly celebrates the victory of Team UNC as the 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙏𝙖𝙜𝙗𝙤𝙖𝙣 2025 𝙆𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙨 𝘾𝙤𝙤𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, a highlight of the Peñafrancia Festival 2025.

Led by 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙡𝙮 𝙎𝙞𝙢𝙤𝙣 𝙀𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙖, 𝙍𝙖𝙮𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙩 𝘽𝙚𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙟𝙤 𝙍𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙩𝙖, and 𝙇𝙪𝙠𝙚 𝙔𝙫𝙖𝙣 𝙏𝙚𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙖𝙡, together with the help of 𝙍𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙩 𝙎𝙩𝙚𝙥𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝘽𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙤, and the guidance of Ma'am 𝙒𝙞𝙣𝙠𝙡𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙯 and 𝙎𝙞𝙧 𝙉𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙂𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙚𝙯, showcased their exceptional culinary skills and creativity in preparing Bicol’s iconic noodle dish, Kinalas. Their winning entry not only impressed the judges with flavor and presentation but also reflected the rich cultural heritage that Kinalas represents. This victory is also a shared success with the 𝙃𝙤𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 (𝙃𝙈) and 𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙢 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 (𝙏𝙈) 𝙨𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙨, who gave their full support and cheered the team on. It shows how strong the UNC spirit is when we come together as one family.

As the Peñafrancia Festival continues to be a beacon of 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵, 𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲, this win stands as a milestone for UNC; one that embodies its vision of nurturing talent and honoring Bicolano heritage.

𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐚: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐁𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐨 𝐅𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Every September, the city of Naga in Camarines Sur becomes the spiritual heart of the Bicol Region as it celebrates the Peñafrancia Festival. At the center of this deeply revered tradition is the Traslacion, a solemn procession in honor of Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia, lovingly called Ina by her devotees, and El Divino Rostro.

The Traslacion marks the transfer of Ina’s image from the Peñafrancia Shrine to the Naga Metropolitan Cathedral. Thousands of barefoot pilgrims, dressed in white, maroon, and yellow, fill the streets in a moving sea of prayer, song, and unwavering faith. The procession is not just a physical journey, it’s a spiritual act of devotion, healing, and thanksgiving.

The Traslacion represents more than tradition, it is a living symbol of Bicolano identity, resilience, and love for the Blessed Mother. For many, it provides a moment of grace that transcends generations.

On 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟑𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, the Executive Committees and SBA Presidents came together at the 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐮𝐞𝐯𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐬 for a team-building activity spearheaded by the Business and Accountancy College Council. It was more than just a series of games — it was a meaningful opportunity to create bonds, welcome new faces, and strengthen the spirit of teamwork. Through activities such as 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐈𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬, 𝐀𝐡𝐡 𝐃𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐲, 𝐋𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐞, 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐩𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐑𝐚𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐓𝐮𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐚𝐫, members enjoyed moments of fun, energy, and collaboration.

What made the event even more special was how quickly new faces turned into new friends, with personalities blending naturally to make the experience both enjoyable and memorable. Each game highlighted the importance of working together, reminding us that teamwork is not just about competing, but also about supporting one another and building connections.

Though the time was brief, it was filled with joy, laughter, and lessons that we will carry throughout our college journey. Truly, this team building was a celebration of unity, camaraderie, and lasting friendship.💚

Every last Monday of August, the Philippines celebrates National Heroes Day. It is a time to honor the bravery, sacrifice, and love for the country shown by Filipinos who fought for our freedom.

This special day is not only about famous heroes like Jose Rizal and Andres Bonifacio. It is also for the many unnamed heroes of history, as well as modern-day heroes such as teachers, overseas Filipino workers, and community volunteers who help make the country better.

National Heroes Day reminds us to value courage, unity, and selflessness. By showing these qualities in our daily lives, we can continue the dream of building a free and progressive Philippines, just like what our heroes hoped for.

The Office of the Vice President for Administration and Auxiliary Services released Memorandum No. 12-2025 that states that the University shall once again serve as the Local Testing Center for the 2025 Bar Examination scheduled for September 7, 10, and 14, 2025. In line with this, the University Campus shall be off-limits to all except those authorized by the Supreme Court from September 5 to 14, 2025.

Today, we remember our former 𝑺𝒆𝒏. 𝑩𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒏𝒐 ‘𝑵𝒊𝒏𝒐𝒚’ 𝑨𝒒𝒖𝒊𝒏𝒐 𝑱𝒓..—a man whose life was dedicated to the Filipino people, and whose death sparked the flames of democracy. He reminds us that heroism is not just found in history books but in the choices we make every day. His story teaches us the power of courage in the face of oppression and the importance of standing up for what is right. Like Ninoy, we are called to value freedom, justice, and service to others. May his legacy inspire us to use our voices, our actions, and our knowledge to serve the nation.

𝑺𝑩𝑨 𝑶𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑶𝑹𝑺𝑬𝑴 2025: 𝑺𝒆𝒆𝒌. 𝑩𝒆𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆. 𝑨𝒄𝒉𝒊𝒆𝒗𝒆. ✨

On August 7, 2025, the University of Nueva Caceres opened its doors to a new generation of business and accountancy students during the 𝗦𝗕𝗔 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 (𝗢𝗥𝗦𝗘𝗠) held at the UNC Sports Palace. With the theme “𝙎𝙚𝙚𝙠, 𝘽𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚, 𝘼𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙚𝙫𝙚: 𝘼 𝙌𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙀𝙭𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙐𝙣𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙋𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙡𝙨,” the School of Business and Accountancy (SBA) officially welcomed its first-year students through a meaningful and inspiring program designed to guide them as they begin their academic journey. The event introduced freshmen to the college environment, academic expectations, and the supportive community that awaits them.

The day opened with warm remarks and an energizing intermission performance, followed by a segment that presented SBA’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values, showcasing the foundation for their growth and success at UNC. One of the core parts of the program was the discussion of academic and departmental policies, giving students a clear understanding of expectations and responsibilities. A motivational message from the Dean emphasized the importance of excellence and integrity in the field of business and accountancy. The students also listened to the EIE Seminar, which gave insights into real-world applications of their studies through the use of English proficiency. Faculty members, academic and non-academic organizations, and SBA Student Success Coaches were introduced to help students recognize the support system available to them.

The University Student Government (USG) presented their upcoming plans and activities, encouraging involvement in campus life. A special intermission and the singing of the UNC Hymn added to the memorable experience, followed by a photo opportunity with all SBA students and staff. More than just an introduction to college life, the SBA Orientation was a meaningful start to a new chapter—one where students are encouraged to seek their purpose, believe in their abilities, and achieve their goals through the values and excellence that UNC stands for.
