SOBRANG ENTITLED NGA BA NG MGA TEACHERS?

Maybe sometimes, what looks like “complaining” from the outside is actually a teacher quietly saying, “Pagod na rin po kami.”

Yes, we appreciate class suspensions, health breaks, wellness programs and every consideration given to us.
Pero sana, hindi natin isipin na dahil may ganitong support wala na kaming karapatang mapagod.

A teacher can be grateful and exhausted at the same time.
This term alone has asked us to adjust to new schedules, policies, forms, reports, assessments, meetings, documentation and countless responsibilities, while still trying our best to be present and effective inside the classroom.

And when people see “walang pasok,” they may only see the absence of classes.

They don't always see the preparation, paperwork, follow ups, checking, planning, and catching up that continue behind the scenes.
Health breaks are not vacations.
Suspensions are not automatically rest.
And asking for support is not entitlement.

Teachers are professionals, yes. We are expected to be resilient, responsibleand committed.
But before all those titles, we are human beings, too.
And no, we also cannot forget the responsibilities we carry outside DepEd.
For some of us, after the school day ends, another role begins.
No mention yet of the heavy responsibilities of being a solo mom.
A mother who has been hustling even long before her DepEd journey began. Not because of luho. Not because she wants to impress anyone. Not because she has everything figured out.
But because there are children depending on her.
Bills need to be paid.
Dreams need to be funded.
A future needs to be built.
And while doing all of that, there are personal battles no one sees.
The silent worries.
The financial dilemmas.
The pressure of making the right decisions.
The fear of not being enough.
The anxiety that creeps in when responsibilities pile up and you don't know which one to carry first.

Sometimes, you show up in class smiling, teaching, encouraging your learners, checking papers, attending meetings and getting things done.

Looking back at this old video, I can’t help but smile because this was Teacher Rache before the Teacher Rache you know today. 😅 Four years ago, I was already putting myself out there, learning, applying, interviewing potential clients, building my online presence, and figuring out how to make freelancing work alongside real life. And yes, this little piece of content reached thousands of views and continued to circulate — but more than the numbers, it reminds me of how much work happened before anyone started seeing the results.

And maybe this is something I really want to remind those of you who are currently hunting for online jobs: freelancing is not an overnight mastery. Hindi porke nakikita mo ngayon ang “work from home,” “six-figure freelancer,” “VA life,” or “easy online income,” ibig sabihin mabilis lang ang proseso. There was a version of me who had to upskill, take trainings, learn from mentors, build a portfolio, optimize my LinkedIn, explore job platforms, apply, get rejected, try again, and actually DO the work. I eventually became a Senior High School Marketing and Entrepreneurship Teacher, but I never stopped practicing the digital skills I teach. I still take on project-based work as a Social Media Manager and Content Creative because I believe in teaching what I actually practice.

So yes, I have the guts to teach you about freelancing not because I know everything, but because I’ve been where many of you are starting. I know the confusion, the excitement, the rejection, the “baka hindi ako good enough” moments, and the pressure of wanting to earn while still figuring yourself out. 🥹

And if you’re here because you want to start, I’m not here to pressure you to become a freelancer overnight. I’m here to tell you: trust the process. Learn one skill at a time. Find your creative lane. Build your confidence. Practice. Make mistakes. Try again. And when you’re ready, I’ll gladly share what I learned along the way so you don’t have to figure out everything alone. 🤍

✨MORE THAN A TEAM, THIS IS A SASSY GIRLS POWERHOUSE IN THE MAKING.🩷🏐

From drills and game plans to laughter, pressure, mistakes and those “Ano, kaya pa!?” “Ano, pagod na?” moments, reminded us why school sports matter so much. For our learners, it’s either about trophies, places, championships, or simply wanting to be with their classmates and friends. Others join because they want to discover their fullest potential. Above all, it teaches them discipline, teamwork, confidence, sportsmanship, resilience and the courage to keep showing up even when the game doesn’t go their way. And for us teachers, it gives us another beautiful opportunity to connect with our learners beyond the classroom, to guide them, cheer for them, or sometimes simply be there while they discover what they’re capable of. 🥹🩷

But personally, this game became something more. With everything happening lately, our sobrang pagod sa work, family matters, personal battles, relationships and all the little things life quietly asks us to carry, volleyball became one of my favorite ways to pause. Somehow, every spike, every serve, every missed ball and every “sayang!” became a little release.💨 Nabubuhos sa bawat palo ang lahat lahat na hinaing na hindi na minsan gustong sambitin.😌And there is something beautifully nostalgic about returning to a sport you once loved. It reminds us that we can still try, still learn, still improve and still be better on the next spike. Maybe that’s the real privilege of sports.😇 It reminds us that we are allowed to pause, to go with the flow, to make mistakes and then try again.🏐🌸

So whether you’re a learner, a teacher, a coach or simply someone carrying a lot these days, please take the pause when you need it. Find something that makes your heart breathe again. And when you get back into the game, give it your best shot. Because in volleyball and in life, we may not control every ball that comes our way, but we can always choose how we receive it, how we fight for the next point and how we show up for the next play. I AM MY CREATIVE LANE 🌟

And honestly, I’m a product of everything I teach, create, experience and continuously learn.

I’m a Senior High School Teacher in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, a former Social Media Manager and Executive Virtual Assistant, a project-based Content Creative and a mom who learned that sometimes you have to build your own opportunities.

I didn’t create this space simply because I wanted to “be a part time content creator.”

I created it because I actually live the things I talk about.

I teach Marketing while practicing it.

I teach Entrepreneurship while continuously establishing my own streams of income even before entering the profession.

I talk about freelancing because I’ve actually been there.

I create content for clients while figuring out how to create around a very busy teacher-mom life. 😅
And motherhood?🤯🤯🤯

That’s probably one of the biggest reasons behind everything.

I know what it feels like to have dreams but very limited time.

To have skills but still question your works.

To want financial independence while raising children.

To keep learning because mahirap na sobra ang buhay and standing still simply, ISN'T AN OPTION AT ALL.

So when I share a freelancing tip, a marketing lesson, a Canva idea, a teacher reality or a little piece of my pretty 🙈 chaotic life…

I’m not just sharing something I learned. I’m sharing something I’ve lived.

My creative lane is for the teacher who wants to upskill.

For the mom looking for an extra income stream.

For the career-shifter wondering where to begin.

For the Gen Z learner curious about freelancing.

For the aspiring entrepreneur trying to turn a skill into an opportunity.

I understand them because I’ve been there.

And maybe that’s the beauty of building a personal brand:

Create from what you know.

Teach what you practice.

Share what you’ve learned.

And build something you would genuinely find valuable yourself.

Because I’m not just talking about the journey.

When Teaching Meets Teamwork & The Perks of Being a COACH🫣🤭🙃

Here comes one of the advantages of &CareerSkills NEWEST SUBJECT is that ~ POSSIBLE BEST CLASSROOM WILL BE THE VOLLEYBALL COURT🏐🙃next couple of weeks yeyyys!

At tipong lahat ng frustrations mo way back highschool up to college as an athlete eh ibubuhos mo nnman this time sa mga walang kamalay malay na player kasi gusto mo b*gbugan ang labanan🤣

Probably the most underrated perks of being a senior high school tser is that for a few weeks will trade lesson plans for game plans, quizzes for cheers and classroom walls for courts &fields.

We will still be working but this kind of work fills our cup instead of draining it.
We will get to laugh with our students, celebrate their victories, comfort them after losses and witness talents that don't always shine inside the classroom.
Sometimes, preventing burnout isn't about taking a break from work ~ it's about finding joy within it! 🩷🩷🩷

THE DRIVE THAT CHANGED EVERYTHING. 🏍️✨

If you had met me years ago, you probably wouldn't believe this picture.

There was a season in my life when something as simple as crossing a busy street felt like climbing a mountain.

No exaggeration—I would spend what felt like hours standing on the sidewalk, overthinking every possible outcome. I was terrified that one wrong step would change everything. Looking back now, I smile at that version of myself because she was simply doing the best she could with the courage she had at the time.

Fast forward to today...

Here I am—confidently riding my cousins' motorcycles because I finally know that I can. I can travel on my own whenever I want. I can stand in front of classrooms with confidence. I have the privilege of working with both local and international clients. I get to create content, build brands, and continuously step into opportunities I once believed were only meant for "other people."

What changed?

Not my background.

Not my age.

Not my circumstances.

My decision.

I decided that fear would no longer have the loudest voice in my life.

That single decision led me from the BPO industry into freelancing, and eventually into my career in education. Today, I continue to embrace both teaching and freelancing—combining my passion for education with my love for digital marketing, social media management, content creation, and now, courageously stepping into the world of UGC creation.

And that's what I want every aspiring freelancer, educator, mommy, career shifter, and Gen Z dreamer to remember:

Your biggest obstacle is rarely your lack of talent. It's the story you've been telling yourself about what's possible.

If you can change your mindset... You'll change your actions.

If you change your actions... You'll change your future.

Because confidence doesn't come before the first step.

Confidence is built because you chose to take the first step.

So today, if you're standing on your own "sidewalk"—afraid to apply for that freelance job, afraid to learn AI, afraid to post your first piece of content, or afraid to start over..
