It’s a true privilege for Maisie Makes to be the official ticket-printing partner for this special play organized by ALT Education.

I didn’t expect to be offline this long, but natural events and a wave of highs and lows took a toll on this crafter.

Not more noise, but more presence.

No curated moments, just quiet mornings, and a heart choosing calm again and again.

Even without the online screens, the challenge lived on.
Not always in posts, but in practice.

🕊️ Here’s to choosing healing on airplane mode.
🌱 Here’s to saying “No” so we can say “Yes” to rest.
🌧️ Here’s to unplugging, on purpose.

And while I stepped back, the Breath Again Collection quietly came together not just on screens but on actual pieces.

It was a full day.
My daughter’s classes were suspended because of the weather,
and the hours filled up fast, with mess, with movement, with mothering.

I didn’t get to pick a card until late at night.
But even when the day feels too full,
this challenge is something I still look forward to.
A soft promise I keep for myself.

Today’s cue was:

“Connection calms me.”
Hug something (or someone) for 10 seconds.
A pet, a pillow, a person. Feel the exhale.
You’re allowed to hold and be held.

So I did.
I wrapped my arms around my daughter, Kali Maisie.
Held her for longer than usual.
Breathed her in.
Felt the stillness between us.

And for a moment, that was everything.
That was calm.

Connection doesn’t always come easy,
but when we pause for it, it meets us right where we are.

Today’s cue came at just the right time.
As I randomly picked a card for Day 2, this is what came up:

“I choose quiet.”
Place your phone facedown.
One moment. One break. Let your nervous system breathe.
Quiet is a decision.

So I did just that.
I turned my phone face down.
Let the notifications wait.
And gave my body a break from reacting, from responding, from being “on.”

It wasn’t about silence, really.
It was about giving myself permission to stop absorbing so much noise.

Even just for a few minutes,
choosing quiet felt like choosing myself.

this might be the softest thing you can do:
turn it all over, just for a moment.

I’ll be here, breathing with you.

I’ve been finding comfort in creating again.
Making things with my hands gives me small pockets of calm.

But even when I am feeling okay, it’s still hard to show up.
To share.
To be present.

I joined a bootcamp recently to learn more about my craft to help myself restart, again, and this month’s focus is a mental health kit.

While working on the pieces, something quietly hit me:

𝙄 𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨, 𝙩𝙤𝙤.

Grief and postpartum aren’t things you just get over.
They don’t go away with time or medication.

They stay in waves, in small moments, in the background.

And every day becomes a quiet reminder to reset…
to bring myself back to now,
to show up gently for my husband, for my little one, and for me.

So for the next 30 days, I’ll be sharing one card a day from the 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐦 𝐂𝐮𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐭 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐤.

And on the days in between, I’ll share pieces of my journey using the other tools from our mental reset kit, the 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐥 and the 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐮𝐦𝐩 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤.

I hope you’ll join me as I try to stay present -gently-for the next 30 days.

This isn’t about keeping up.
I’m doing this to reconnect with who I am - gently, daily.
