𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞 𝟮: 𝗕𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗔𝗚: 𝗔𝗥𝗧𝘃 𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽

The learning continues as the Ateneo Radio and Television Network (ARTv), in collaboration with the Media Studies Student, held the second day of BANAAG: ARTv Seminar & Workshop last August 14, 2026, at AR318, Arrupe Building.

The students of the Department of Media Studies had the opportunity to learn from 𝗠𝗿. 𝗡𝗼𝗲𝗹 𝗔𝗺𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗿, Media Studies Department Chairperson, who served as the resource speaker for the session on “Camera Works for Videography.” The seminar provided students with practical knowledge on the different functions of a camera through an interactive, informative, and humorous discussion.

In the afternoon, 𝗠𝗿. 𝗘𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗯𝗮𝘁 shared his skills on 𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨, followed by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗮𝗺 𝗠𝗮𝘇𝗼, who discussed 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰𝘫𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘮. Moreover, to test their new skills and learnings after the discussion, the participants teamed up a group simulation where they had to 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗼𝘁, 𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗱 their own news reports using stories found inside the Ateneo de Naga University campus.

Week 2 was another meaningful step toward developing the students' technical skills and confidence behind the camera. With every lesson and hands-on insight, our future communicators continue to prepare themselves for the ever-evolving media landscape.

Sinimulan ng 𝘗𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘌𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘋𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘯𝘨 𝘗𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘢𝘯 𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘦𝘰 𝘥𝘦 𝘕𝘢𝘨𝘢 ang Welcome Dance ngayong ika-14 na araw ng Agosto, bilang bahagi ng Pagsungko ni Ina. Nagmula ang prusisyon sa Metropolitan Cathedral hanggang sa University Grounds, kung saan nakibahagi ang mga faculty, staff, at estudyante ng PathFit.

Winakasan ang 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗴𝗸𝗼 𝗻𝗶 𝗜𝗻𝗮 sa pamamagitan ng misa, na ipinamalas ang simbolo ng pananampalataya. Ang taunang kaganapan na ito ay isinasagawa ng pamantasan upang ipahayag ang mataimtim na debosyon sa patron ng Bicolandia.

Ang matagumpay na kaganapan ay patunay ng dedikasyon ng unibersidad sa pagpapalalim ng matibay na pananampalataya.

As Ateneo de Naga University opens its gates for the upcoming school year, the Ateneo Radio and Television Network (ARTv), in collaboration with the Media Studies Society (MSS), officially kicked off 𝘽𝘼𝙉𝘼𝘼𝙂: 𝘼𝙍𝙏𝙫 𝙎𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙧 & 𝙒𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙥 last August 7, 2026, at AR318, Arrupe Building. The event commenced with inspiring opening remarks delivered by Mr. Jan Victor Agna, setting a motivated tone for the eager participants. For the morning session, the passionate students of the Department of Media Studies were privileged to learn from Ms. Antonette Eduardo, a seasoned journalist and anchorwoman of RMN DWNX NAGA, who generously shared her valuable expertise on "Content Creation for TV Broadcasting CDs."

The learning did not stop there; the afternoon session became even more enriching as Ms. Mylce Mella of Y.Explained took the stage. She deeply engaged the students with her profound insights on "Media Ethics and Newswriting for TV Broadcasting." It was a truly fruitful Day 1, packed with critical knowledge, practical skills, and professional guidance that left our aspiring media practitioners inspired and ready to conquer the media landscape.

The second portion of ORSEM 2026 proceeded in the afternoon. Ateneo’s pride, Ateneo Golden Cavalry, welcomed the freshmen with their yet another striking performance to commence the continuation of the event. The loudest cheer came from respective departments, strengthening camaraderie and enthusiasm for the memories ahead of them as they successfully cheered their respective chants.

𝐇𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒 | 𝐎𝐑𝐒𝐄𝐌 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝟐

The second day of ORSEM 2026 began with a session led by the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), headed by Ms. Maria Josephine I. Reyes, Program Officer for Student Activities and Student Organizations. Highlighting meaningful engagement, leadership development, and holistic formation. Ms. Merle Palcon, Director of the Higher Education Health Services Office, also emphasized the university’s commitment to a drug-free campus through policies and programs promoting a healthy and safe environment.

The sessions continued with the College Guidance Center (CGC), led by Ms. Fe Marie Dianne B. Llupar, MAed, RGC, Director of College Guidance Center, and Ms. Thea U. Pramis, Director of the College Campus Ministry Office, who shared opportunities for spiritual growth and development.

The orientation also highlighted various Ateneo services including: Infirmary services with Sir Mark Christian Solano, University Nurse. Library facilities and resources led by Ms. Lily A. Condes, RL, offering access to research materials, archives, and study spaces.

The day also featured a discussion from the Physical Education Department, led by Mr. Joseph Gabriel Z. Gomez, M.A.Ed. in Sports and Recreation Management. Freshmen were introduced to the PATHFit courses, including physical activities, fitness, dance, sports, martial arts, group exercises, outdoor activities, etc. They were briefed on classroom guidelines, rules, facilities. The PATHFit uniform release scheduled on August 7, 8, 14, 15, and 22, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Covered Courts.

Through the LIDERATOS Promotional Video, freshmen were introduced to Ateneo’s leadership formation programs, presented by Mr. James Laurence Manubay, the current President of LIDERATOS.

Mr. Zero Magalleon, Director of the Network Operations and Computer Services (NOCS), introduced the university’s technological services and support systems. Ms. Estrella Montealegre, Director of Management Information Systems (MIS), discussed the university’s enrollment systems, online portals, and digital records.

The day concluded with a Q&A, allowing freshmen to gain further insight into the services, systems, and opportunities available to them as members of the Ateneo community.

As the journey continues, may every Atenean be equipped with the 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬𝙡𝙚𝙙𝙜𝙚, 𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙚𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙨𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 needed to navigate the road ahead. 💙💛

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝗕𝗨𝗞𝗟𝗔𝗗 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗣𝗔𝗥𝗧 𝗧𝗪𝗢

The BUKLAD Arts and Culture Fest was celebrated last February 15–16, 18, 23, and 27–28, 2026 at Ateneo de Naga University. Headed by the Creative Endeavors Council, the festival featured a series of activities that highlighted art, culture, and resistance.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗢𝗨𝗥: Pixels of Bikol: Digital Artworks Exhibition showcased a curated selection of 20 high-quality digital pieces. Spanning illustration, concept art, motion graphics, and game art, the exhibit was presented through the facilities of the DIA Laboratory, alongside a complementary online exhibition.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗙𝗜𝗩𝗘: A Theater and Dance Workshop was held, featuring Alberto Saldajeno, who led a session on Mime and Theatrical Dance.

𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗦𝗜𝗫: The festival ended with a concert night.
