Meet 𝑱𝒂𝒏 𝑽𝒊𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒓 𝑭. 𝑨𝒈𝒏𝒂, a 𝘧𝘶𝘭𝘭-𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘺 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 of the Department of Media Studies at Ateneo de Naga University, where he also serves as the M𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘰𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘢 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘚𝘰𝘤𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘺.

His academic and professional interests include Media and Information Literacy, Journalism, and Sports. Before his current roles, he served as Coordinator for Student Welfare, Safety, and Discipline under the Office of Student Affairs.

To date, he serves as an NSTP Formator and a member of the University’s Disciplinary Board. A graduate of the Master’s in Language and Literature program in 2018, Mr. Agna has been with the Department for 10 years. He is also a dedicated public servant and a former theatre actor.

If you’re passionate about media literacy, journalism, and stories that inspire, with mentors like Sir Agna, an educator, researcher, and a dedicated public servant guiding the way, then maybe Media Studies is for you!

She 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦𝘥 as 𝘊𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘳𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘋𝘦𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘔𝘦𝘥𝘪𝘢 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘴 and has been a 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘺 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳 for over 20 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴.

She holds a Ph.D. in Social Development from the Philippine Women’s University and earned her M.A. in Public Administration and B.A. in Development Communication from Ateneo de Naga University. Her expertise spans Development Communication, Local Media, Organizational Communication, and Governance, and she teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in research, ethics, and management communication.

Dr. Bana is an active member of ADCEP and CODCAS-Region V. A collaborative leader, she is committed to advancing interdisciplinary research and strengthening the role of the humanities and social sciences in addressing social issues.

With years of experience serving both private and government sectors, Sir Karl has dedicated his expertise in interpersonal connections and group dynamics to building better communication.

“Think of the sky as your limit when you dream, they say. But in my case, the sky is where I found my dream.

With my degree in AB Communication as my versatile tool, I was able to understand more, the culture and the traditions of every country. As a licensed Safety Professional, I was able to become an instrument to give assurance to everybody that it is safe to fly and that there are a lot of things to discover around the globe. Aside from flying, my passion as a communicator continues through hosting events nationwide. Magis became my ultimate core in everything that I do. Hence. I always aim to go beyond what is expected of me; thus, I was named the Host Extraordinaire. And with the Ignatian formation, I was taught that it shouldn’t just end there; it should be shared with others so they, too, can reach for their dreams.
