Nagtipunan, Quirino – August 29, 2025 – Wasid Integrated School extends its heartfelt appreciation to Sir Tristan Joshua A. Mauricio, School Head of Kakidugen Elementary School and Tournament Manager of the Quirino Archery Tournament, for graciously sharing his expertise and knowledge in the field of archery with the students and athletes of WIS during the ongoing School-Based Intramurals.

Alongside Sir Mark Darren Tabunan, a distinguished Palarong Pambansa athlete in archery, Sir Mauricio provided valuable training, guidance, and encouragement to the young athletes, helping them gain deeper understanding and appreciation of the sport. Their presence and mentorship inspired the students to explore archery with passion, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Beyond archery, Sir Mauricio also demonstrated his dedication to sports development by serving as one of the referees during the Basketball Boys Secondary Championship Game, ensuring fair play and upholding the spirit of true competition.

The Wasid IS community sincerely thanks Sir Tristan Joshua A. Mauricio and Sir Mark Darren Tabunan for their commitment to nurturing young athletes and for their unwavering support in promoting sports excellence in the locality.

Their efforts not only enrich the school’s intramurals but also pave the way for aspiring student-athletes to shine in future competitions.

Isang mainit na do-or-die basketball match ang nasaksihan kanina sa Intramurals nang magharapan ang Red Eagles at Blue Falcons. Sa unang kwarter pa lamang, agad na nagpakitang-gilas ang Red Eagles matapos makuha ang bentahe sa iskor na 20-11.

Gayunpaman, hindi basta sumuko ang Blue Falcons. Sa ikalawang kwarter, nagsalba si Jeus Cauilan para sa kanyang koponan sa pamamagitan ng sunod-sunod na three-points, dahilan upang tumabla ang laban sa 47-all bago pumasok sa halftime.

Mas naging dikit ang laban sa ikatlong kwarter kung saan nakalamang ng isang puntos ang Blue Falcons, na lalong nagpainit sa tensyon ng laro.

Ngunit pagsapit ng huling yugto, muling bumangon ang Red Eagles sa pamamagitan ng sunod-sunod na puntos nina Bricks Zyven Anical—isang learner with hearing impairment na nagsilbing inspirasyon sa laro—at Nathaniel Gacad Jr. Sa kanilang matatag na depensa, pinatibay nina Prince John Cyruz Pagie at Jonathan Dominguez, hindi na nakabawi ang Blue Falcons.

Nagtapos ang laban sa iskor na 93-77, pabor sa Red Eagles. Pinangunahan ni Bricks Zyven Anical ang opensa ng Red Eagles matapos magtala ng 30 puntos, dahilan upang hirangin siya bilang Best Player of the Game.

Sa kanilang panalo, tuluyang nakapasok sa semifinals ang Red Eagles, kasama ang Yellow Hawks, habang tuluyang natanggal sa torneo ang Blue Falcons.

Isang makasaysayang panalo para sa Red Eagles, na nagpakita ng tapang, determinasyon, at pagkakaisa hanggang dulo ng laro.

Nagpatunay ng lakas ang Unit 1 – Green Hornets matapos talunin ang Unit 3 – Yellow Hawks sa kanilang laban ngayong araw. Sa unang kwarter, dikit ang labanan ngunit nakalalamang na ang Green Hornets sa iskor na 29-21.

Pagsapit ng ikalawa at ikatlong kwarter, mas lumobo ang kanilang kalamangan hanggang sa umabot ng 30 puntos, dahilan upang mahirapang makabawi ang Yellow Hawks.

Sa huling yugto, tuluyan nang sinelyuhan ng Green Hornets ang kanilang panalo sa iskor na 74-41.

Itinanghal na Best Player of the Game si Neil Brix Clauffmir Bogking, matapos makapagtala ng kamangha-manghang 38 puntos na nagsilbing susi sa kanilang panalo.

Muling pinatunayan ng Green Hornets na sila ang koponang dapat bantayan sa patuloy na bakbakan ng Intramurals. 💚

The excitement continued on the second day of the Wasid Integrated School-based Intramurals as Unit 3–Yellow Eagles clashed with Unit 4–Blue Falcons in a heated basketball matchup at the Wasid Gym.

The Yellow Eagles wasted no time in asserting dominance early in the game, with Adrian James Malate and team captain Andrew Toloy delivering back-to-back baskets. Their strong offensive rhythm powered the Eagles to a commanding 21-12 lead by the end of the first quarter.

Momentum carried into the second quarter as the Toloy–Romel Pagie Jr. tandem dismantled the Falcons’ defense. With precision shooting and relentless fast breaks, the Yellow Eagles doubled the gap, ending the half with a 38-18 score.

The Blue Falcons tried to regroup in the third quarter, but the Yellow Eagles’ defense stood firm, allowing them to extend the lead to 48-21. Despite showing resilience and scoring bursts in the final quarter, the Blue Falcons struggled to close the gap.

As the buzzer sounded, the scoreboard reflected the Yellow Eagles’ decisive victory, 62-47, over the Blue Falcons.

With this win, the Yellow Eagles showcased not only their offensive firepower but also their teamwork and discipline, making them one of the strongest contenders in this year’s Intramurals.

𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐄𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐚 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭-𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝟓𝟔-𝟓𝟐 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲

𝘕𝘢𝘨𝘵𝘪𝘱𝘶𝘯𝘢𝘯, 𝘘𝘶𝘪𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘰 | Wasid Gym roared with energy today as the Green Hornets and the Red Eagles went head-to-head in an electrifying basketball match for the School-Based Intramurals Meet.

The Hornets came out buzzing in the first quarter, with Bugking proving unstoppable as he powered his team to an 18-9 lead. But the Red Eagles weren’t about to go down without a fight. Anical fired up the crowd with four straight three-pointers, bringing the Eagles soaring back and tying the game at 36-all during the middle quarters.

The final quarter was nothing short of thrilling. The Bugking-Brosas combo turned the court into their playground, sinking crucial baskets to keep the Hornets in front. The Eagles clawed their way back with heart and hustle, but when the buzzer sounded, the scoreboard flashed 56-52 — victory for the Green Hornets!

The crowd erupted, the players gave their all, and both teams showed what true sportsmanship and school pride are all about.
