𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 || 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗰 𝗦𝗞 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀

In preparation for the conduct of the SIKLAB 2025: Barangay Surcoc Sports Tournament, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) council of the said Barangay acquired various sports equipment and materials which shall be used for different indoor and outdoor recreational activities.

The purpose of purchasing these equipment is to encourage every youth in the Barangay to hone their skills in various sports rather than being exposed to different vices.

This initiative of the council is in line with their projects under the "Health" center of youth participation. Also, it fosters the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good health and well- being.

Any member of the Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) of Barangay Surcoc can borrow these equipment for school and recreational purposes only.

The following are the available sports equipment and materials:

◾1 unit ball for Basketball
◾2 units ball for Volleyball
◾1 pc. of Volleyball Net
◾1 set of Basketball Ring Net
◾2 units of Word Factory Board
◾2 units of Whistle
◾5 pcs. of Board Marker
◾2 pcs. of Board Eraser

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 || 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗰 𝗞𝗞 𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴; 𝗦𝗞 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗔𝗕𝗬𝗜𝗣, 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀

In response to the Republic Act 10742 otherwise known as Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015 section 6, Barangay Surcoc conducted the First Semester Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) General Assembly and Youth Profiling at the Community Center today, July 5.

The activity was attended by a total of 75 youths composing of the KK members headed by the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials. Some of the Barangay Kagawads were also present on the said activity.

Before the General Assembly started, the SK council interviewed the attendees as part of the youth profiling. Afterwards, the meeting was called to order and the discussion of the agenda began.

The SK Chairperson discussed the Annual Barangay Youth Investment Program (ABYIP) for the Calendar Year 2025 highlighting the different projects, programs, and activities that are anchored to the Ten centers of youth participation.

It was followed then by the presentation of the SK Treasurer regarding the accomplishments of the SK council for the first six months of the year including the financial transactions. SK Chairperson concluded the activity by enumerating all the future plans of the council and the next schedule of the KK General Assembly.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 || 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗰 𝗦𝗞 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗧𝗢𝗚𝗔; 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲

For the purpose of helping the graduating college students of Barangay Surcoc in paying their graduation- related fees, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) council launched the Project TOGA (Tailoring Opportunities for Graduating and Aspiring professionals) at Barangay Surcoc Session Hall, June 29.

Project TOGA is designed to ease the financial burden of those who aspires to be a ripple of change and a catalyst for development and it seeks to empower aspiring professionals in reaching their academic goals without being held by financial constraints.

The said project is anchored with the PPAs of the council related to the "Education" center of youth participation. Further, this initiative is in response with the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education.

With the increasing number of professionals in the community, the Surcoc SK council will continue to implement actions in support to those who aspires to be one.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 || 𝗕𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗰 𝗦𝗞 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀; 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀

With the purpose of helping the students on their needs for the opening of classes for the school year 2025-2026 under the Department of Education (DepEd), the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) council of Barangay Surcoc conducted the 3rd wave of the 𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗢𝗡𝗚 𝗘𝗗𝗨- 𝗔𝗞𝗦𝗬𝗢𝗡: 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 today, June 14 at Barangay Surcoc Hall.

There are 70 secondary students who received free school supplies composing of 49 Junior High School (JHS) and 21 Senior High School (SHS).

This initiative of the council is in line with their programs under the "Education" center of youth participation and it's in response with the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals 4: Quality Education.

On the other hand, the said council plans to distribute also free school supplies to college students a week before the opening of classes under the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd).

In preparation for the opening of classes for the school year 2025-2026, the Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) members through the leadership of the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials of Barangay Surcoc participated on the conduct of Brigada-Eskwela at Surcoc Integrated School today, June 9.

This participation of the youths in in line with the programa of the council under the "Education" center of youth participation and it's in response with the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4 and 17: Quality Education and Partnership for Goals.

The said activity shall continue tomorrow and it will end on Saturday, June 14.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 || 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗼𝗰 𝗦𝗞 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗔𝗥𝗔𝗟; 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘆

With the aim of helping the students prepare for the opening of the school year, the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) council of Barangay Surcoc started the implementation of the Project ARAL (Advocacy for Responsible and Active Learning)- a free tutoring session today, June 9 at Barangay Surcoc Session Hall.

This initiative is in line with the programs of the council under the "Education" center of youth participation and it's in response with the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 4: Quality Education.

For the first day, elementary students of Surcoc Integrated School were the tutees of the SK officials allowing them to learn basic reading, writing, and mathematics.

The said activity shall continue tomorrow, June 10 and it will run until June 12, Thursday.
