On ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐œ๐ก ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ”, ๐š๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐€๐ช๐ฎ๐š๐๐„๐’๐“ ๐‡๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ, Cavite State University Naic, the Career Talk and Static Display, in line with the 58th Founding Anniversary of CGDNCR-CL, was successfully conducted. The activity provided the kabsuhenyos with knowledge, awareness, and inspiration, opening opportunities for future career pathsโ€”especially for those from the graduating colleges.

The event began with student registration, followed by an opening prayer and the singing of the national anthem. This was succeeded by the opening remarks of ๐Œ๐ฌ. ๐‰๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ง ๐‚. ๐Œ๐ž๐๐ข๐ง๐š, ๐’๐ญ๐ฎ๐๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐–๐ž๐ฅ๐Ÿ๐š๐ซ๐ž ๐š๐ง๐ ๐’๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐ข๐œ๐ž๐ฌ ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ญ ๐‡๐ž๐š๐. The discussion also highlighted the PCGโ€™s core mandates, roles, and responsibilities in ensuring maritime safety, security, and environmental protection.

The AquaBEST Hall came alive with interactive activities, including a K9 demonstration, engaging static displays, and hands-on exposure to actual PCG equipment. This gave students a closer look at operations in law enforcement, disaster response, and public safety.

More than the demonstrations, the event served as ๐š ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ง๐ž๐œ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, bringing the Philippine Coast Guard closer to the CvSU Naic community. Furthermore, this sparks curiosity and inspires future public servants.

The event concluded with the closing remarks by Commander Ensign Lourdes C. Lagyap, Coast Guard Sub-Station Naic. Followed by the singing of the CvSU Hymn and March.

In celebration of National Womenโ€™s Month 2026, we invite all students to participate in a Promotional Video Contest that highlights the strength, leadership, and empowerment of Filipino women. Anchored on this yearโ€™s theme, โ€œLead Like the Babaylans, Filipinas,โ€ the contest aims to showcase how modern Filipinas continue the legacy of the babaylanโ€”women leaders who guided communities with wisdom, courage, and compassion.

Through the power of storytelling and creativity, students are encouraged to produce a promotional video that reflects womenโ€™s leadership, resilience, and contributions in society.

๐Œ๐„๐‚๐‡๐€๐๐ˆ๐‚๐’

1. Theme
All entries must reflect the theme โ€œLead Like the Babaylans, Filipinas,โ€ highlighting womenโ€™s leadership, empowerment, and influence in contemporary society.

2. Music Requirement
The video must use the song โ€œNasa Atin (Kababaihan)โ€ from the Musika ng Kababaihan collection by the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) as its official background music. (https://library.pcw.gov.ph/nasa-atin-kababaihan/)

3. Originality of Content
All entries must be original and student-produced.

The concept, footage, and editing should be created from the studentsโ€™ lens and perspective.

Only original work will be accepted. Plagiarized or previously published content will be disqualified.

4. Content Guidelines
Videos must be gender-sensitive, respectful, and empowering to women and all genders.

Entries should promote positive messages about womenโ€™s leadership and social participation.

5. Participants
The contest is open to all bonafide CvSU Naic students.

Each department may submit a maximum of two (2) entries only.

6. Video Specifications
Duration: 4โ€“5 minutes
Format: MP4
Orientation: Landscape (preferred)
Minimum resolution: 1080p (Full HD)

7. Submission Guidelines
Entries must include the video file, title of the entry, department, and names of participants.
All entries must be submitted through email at [email protected].

8. Deadline of Submission
All entries must be submitted on or before March 22, 2026.

9. Evaluation Criteria

Relevance to the Theme โ€“ 30%
Creativity and Originality โ€“ 25%
Message and Impact โ€“ 25%
Technical Quality (visuals, editing, storytelling) โ€“ 20%

Selected videos will be showcased at the culmination of the National Womenโ€™s Month celebration and may also be utilized in future advocacy initiatives that promote womenโ€™s empowerment.

On March 11, 2026, Wednesday, in celebration of Womenโ€™s Month, The New Wave joined the campus-wide initiative in empowering and enlightening the Kabsuhenyos on the importance of recognizing and honoring womenโ€™s contributions in society.

In line with this, The New Wave, together with its team of talented illustrators, launched its very first Doodle Booth alongside other remarkable booths from various student organizations. The booth offered students affordable sketches and doodles of their photos, brought to life by our talented illustrators..

Through this activity, The New Wave continues to make wavesโ€”not only by informing but also by inspiring the community to recognize the value of womenโ€™s roles, voices, and stories in this Women's Month.

Letโ€™s set sail for another adventure as we continue to create ripples in this communityโ€”stay tuned for more lines that draw us closer together, Kabsuhenyos!
