I just watched Mark Herras’ interview on Toni Talks, and I respect his provider mindset. When people criticized him for taking a job, he didn’t make excuses… he simply said:

“Hindi ako namimili ng trabaho. Basta legal, gagawin ko para sa anak ko. Ayokong dumating ang araw na manghihingi siya ng pera sa iba dahil wala kaming maibigay. Kaya kong lunukin ang pride ko, alisin ang hiya, at gawin ang lahat para sa pamilya ko.”

That hit hard. A real provider doesn’t let pride get in the way. It’s easy to judge, but at the end of the day, a father’s job is to make sure his family is secure… no matter what people say.

A good father finds a way. He works, sacrifices, and does what needs to be done.

Because being a provider isn’t about what others think. It’s about making sure your child never has to beg. That’s real love. That’s real strength.
