If it was not the LORD...

If it was not the Lord who saved me from being dumped by a truck when I was a child,
If it was not the Lord who shielded me when someone stabbed me from behind,
If it was not the Lord who protected me from being hit by a falling coconut fruit,
I would not enjoy my youth as what I am today
If it was not the Lord who healed me from dengue,
Yes, if it was not the Lord,
I would have died at an early age
If it was not the Lord who comforted me at night when I was broken,
If it was not the Lord who disciplined me when I became rebellious,
If it was not the Lord who guided my steps to the right path,
I would become a disgrace to my family and a curse to all people around me
If it was not the Lord who opened my eyes and gives me understanding,
Yes, if it was not the Lord,
I would have not known the ultimate purpose and value of my life here on earth
If it was not the Lord,
I wouldn't know my true identity;
If it was not the Lord,
I wouldn't experience the joy of His salvation;
If it was not the Lord,
I wouldn't be here today writing this poem, testifying the goodness of God in my life.
If it was not the Lord,
You wouldn't read this poem up to the end;
Yes, if it was not the Lord.
