Some 13 years ago, however, Penk discovered a new medium, painting, specifically the more challenging medium of watercolor. “I was in a meeting when I bumped into two friends who were taking watercolor classes,” she recounts. “I got interested, and they volunteered to buy the materials for me. Hotel101 to rise in Milan, Italy

Hotel101 Milan, with approximately 429 rooms, is set to rise on a 1.4-ha prime site at San Donato Milanese, about a 7-minute drive from the Milan Linate airport. It is expected to generate Euro 85.8 million in revenue (PhP5.8 billion), the second Hotel101 in Europe and one of the top three largest in the city. Doubledragon’s subsidiary Hotel101 Global, listed in the US NASDAQ Stock Exchange—the first and only Filipino company to have such a subsidiary— had a market capitalization of US$1.9 billion (PhP 112 billion) as of November 27, 2025.

This expansion marks a significant milestone in the company's European growth strategy, with the hotel located in a vibrant community approximately 8.4 km southeast of the Duomo di Milano, with high visibility along the Autostrada del Sole motorway and connectivity to Metro Milano San Donato, a five-minute drive away, for access to Milan's UNESCO-listed Cathedral Square, Galleria Vittorio Emmanuele II, and surrounding fashion and cultural districts.

Hotel101 Milan is expected to be completed by 2028, offering four-star amenities at affordable prices.

Panata Awards 2025 honors next era of brand excellence

The Philippine Association of National Advertisers (PANA) hosted the Panata Awards Night 2025 with the theme “Vow To Wow,” marking a record-breaking 225 campaign entries—the highest in 16 years.

|The awards night gathered advertising, marketing, communications, and media’s most beloved partners and long-standing collaborators. The Executive Brand Builder of the Year was awarded to Joaquin L. San Agustin of SM Supermalls, who received the very first wearable Panata trophy—a 14-karat gold ring with an emerald. The Brand Building Team of the Year went to Cebuana Lhuillier’s Emirosco Michael Sena, Josephine Casal, Richard Villaseran, and Jeff Bryan Gajita.
