Dragon Court elevates hot pot dining with new sets and individual stations

Hot pot season is officially in full swing at Dragon Court, the signature Chinese restaurant of Manila Prince Hotel. Beginning August 1, 2025, guests have been invited to gather round the table for a feast of simmering flavors with its new hot pot sets, now made even more enticing with the addition of individual hot pot stations, offering a fully customizable dining experience.

For those with a refined palate, the Premium Hot Pot set is now available at a special rate of P1,088 net person (regularly P1,288). This set includes premium ingredients such as beef tenderloin, sausage, shrimp, oyster mushrooms, and squid balls, among others, all with abundant servings of vegetables and noodles to complement the broth of choice and dipping sauces.

For a more classic yet satisfying option, the Regular Hot Pot set is offered at just P888 net per person (regularly P1,088). This set includes well-loved staples such as US fat beef, beef strips, chicken breast, and shrimp balls, perfect for a hearty and flavorful meal. Each set also comes with a generous variety of fresh vegetables, noodles, broth of choice, and house-made dipping sauces.

Adding to the excitement, Dragon Court now features individual hot pot stations, ideal for diners who prefer their own pot, own broth, and a more personal pace. Global tea sensation Chagee gears up for Philippine launch

The authentic and high-quality milk tea holds a week-long wellness pop-up event at SM North EDSA

International tea chain Chagee is finally bringing its famed authentic and high-quality milk teas to the Philippines. The tea chain is slated to open its first three stores in Metro Manila in August, with its naturally-sourced ingredients and modern tea bar concept. Ahead of its grand opening, Chagee will mount its first-ever pop-up event on July 7-13 at SM North EDSA, The Block Atrium, allowing Filipinos to score exclusive merchandise and take first sips of its best-selling drink.

Chagee has more than 6,000 stores globally, with presence in key markets such as China, the United States, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Thailand. The Philippines is its fifth market in Southeast Asia. Adding to the brand’s growing international footprint is the grand opening of its first three stores in Manila at SM North EDSA in Quezon City, Robinsons Galleria in Ortigas Center, and at the Venice Grand Canal in Taguig in August.

Chagee milk teas are known internationally for containing zero artificial sweeteners and zero artificial flavoring tea base, using authentic, high-quality, whole tea leaves. Each cup of Chagee milk tea is prepared using state-of-the-art technology.

As EDSA braces for rehabilitation, one solution is reshaping how Metro Manila moves: rail connectivity. According to the latest TomTom Traffic Index, Metro Manila’s congestion level averages 41 percent, with hotspots like Pasig, Makati, and Quezon City ballooning to over 120 percent during rush hour. For the average commuter, that means more than four days and seven hours lost each year in traffic; time that could have been spent with loved ones, on hobbies, or simply resting.

“At DMWAI, we believe cities should empower people to live better, not wear them down,” said Buds Wenceslao, chief executive officer of D.M. Wenceslao and Associates, Inc., developer of Aseana City. Aseana City now directly benefits from the newly operational LRT-1 Cavite Extension, which includes the Redemptorist Aseana Station, and which brings commuters straight into the district. Through this extension, workers, residents, and visitors can now travel swiftly across five cities—Quezon City, Caloocan, Manila, Pasay, and Parañaque. The Las Piñas and Cavite Stations are expected to open in the near future.
In contrast to many areas in the capital where infrastructure was added as an afterthought, Aseana City was thoughtfully master-planned. Wide pedestrian pathways, interconnected open spaces, and mixed-use zones work together to support a walkable, well-connected lifestyle.

“Accessibility isn’t just about transportation. It’s about creating more time, less stress, and better quality of life,” Wenceslao added. “Every minute not spent in traffic is a minute returned to people’s lives.”
