I saw this video of Matet and I really couldn’t help but react. Kanang, what’s up with people? Unsa diay mali anang mamaligya?

During her live, people were leaving comments like:
“Ah, naghirap na, kaya nagtitinda na lang”
“Wala na bang project? Laos na siguro”
And even worse, “Suplada kasi ’yan kaya iniwan ng nanay”

Like, seriously?

Since when did selling become a sign of failure or poverty? I didn’t know that being resourceful is now something to laugh at. Para sa ako, the people doing live selling are some of the smartest and strongest business-minded individuals out there. In fact, daghan gani ana nila mas dako ug kita kaysa sa mga naay office job.

And you know what’s even more frustrating about ani? It’s almost always moms, especially single moms, who get mocked the most. Kay single mom na, mag online seller na daw, ingon ang mga ignorante.

There is nothing more pathetic than people who laugh at others while doing nothing with their own lives. So the next time you judge someone for selling online, maybe ask yourself what you are doing to survive. Basin ga salig ra gihapon ka sa imong ginikanan tapos kusog manaway sa hustle sa uban ngi.
