Today we commemorate the countless persecuted Christians around the world; men, women, and even children who endure violence, threats, imprisonment, and death because of their faith in Christ. Many have faced bloodshed, attacks, and brutal forms of oppression. Communities have been destroyed, churches have been targeted, families have been torn apart. The Church reminds us that we are one Body in Christ; when one member suffers, all suffer with them.

As we commemorate the persecuted Church, we stand in prayerful solidarity with all who risk their lives simply to worship, to pray, or to proclaim the Gospel. Their courage challenges our comfort, and their witness strengthens our commitment to follow Christ with deeper conviction.

May this day awaken compassion in our hearts, justice in our actions, and perseverance in our faith.

Lord, protect Your suffering Church, heal the wounded, and grant eternal rest to those who have died for Your name. Amen.

On November 24, the Aspirants of Our Lady of the Angels Seminary came together at the Porziuncola Chapel to celebrate the Feast of Christ the King. Rev. Fr. Rodrigo San Jose OFM presided over the Mass, inviting everyone into a spirit of peace and gratitude. Afterward, the community remained in silent prayer during the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, taking time to rest in the presence of Christ.

The celebration served as a heartfelt reminder of Christโ€™s gentle kingship and His call to lead through service and love. For the aspirants, it became an opportunity to strengthen their faith, reflect on their vocation, and renew their commitment to walking the Franciscan path with sincerity and joy.

May this feast continue to inspire them as they grow in discernment, brotherhood, and faithful service.
