**Ate Lay’s Sari-Sari Store LOST a “loyal” customer today.**
Ate Lay’s was always my tambayan—my go-to for yosi break, chismis updates, and that sweet pancit canton that tastes like poverty and nostalgia.
I’d even say I was a **“loyal” customer**. Like, kung may points system lang siya, I’d already be a **Gold Member with lifetime supply of SkyFlakes.**
But today… was different.
Today, I left her tindahan with a broken heart and an empty wallet.
So eto na nga—I went there to buy my usual essentials:
*1 Coke Sakto, 1 Piattos (cheese or nothing), at load na P20 para makapag-reply ako sa "Seen" ni crush.*
Me: *“Ate, pa-load nga ng 0917…”*
Ate Lay: *“Ay, beh wala na akong load. Wala na rin Coke. Piattos? Wala na rin cheese, sour cream lang.”*
*Excuse me po???*
That's not what I signed up for. Where’s the premium experience? Where’s the customer satisfaction?? Where’s the **cheese-flavored dignity**???
I tried to chill. Sabi ko, sige, baka bad day lang.
I settled for an RC Cola, Mr. Chips, at isang **P15 na chicharon na parang bato**.
I paid with my last P100 bill. She gave me change na puro candy.
*CANDY, pre. As in literal na 3 Potchi at isang Halls.*
Tapos before I could complain, she said,
*“Ay, ‘wag ka masyado magreklamo ha. Libre na 'yung plastic.”*
Wow. Thank you for the *generosity*, Ate Lay. 😤
But I am no longer the loyal customer I once was.
Starting tomorrow, I’ll be buying from **Mang * #$ # store two kanto away.**
They may not have chismis, but at least may GCash sila.
