3rd ULO NG APO DRUM AND BELL COMPETITION MECHANICS
1.Overview
The 3rd Ulo ng Apo Drum and Bell Competition is a showcase of performing drum corps. Bach group will present a free interpretation of of their choice, with the BILIB AKO,OLONGAPO AKO by Zyron Lopez as the official contest piece, for a maximum allowable performance time of 15 minutes.
II.
Eligibility
This competition is open to all aspiring Drum and Bell Corps composed of
ELEMENTARY to HIGH SCHOOL students of Olongapo City and nearby towns.
No registration fee per band.
III. Group Composition
* ο»Ώο»ΏParticipating groups must have a minimum of 35 members, including musicians, instrumentalists, majorettes and flag bearers.
* ο»Ώο»ΏThere is no maximum limit on the number of members.

IV. Instrument and Prop Guidelines
* ο»Ώο»ΏMechanical instruments, electronics, or motor engines are not permitted.
* ο»Ώο»ΏOnly batons, flags, and other props (e.g. pompoms, banners) are allowed.
* ο»Ώο»ΏInstruments may only be pushed if equipped with wheels or rollers. No instance of dragging that could damage the road is permitted.
* ο»Ώο»ΏPenalty: A 10-point deduction will apply for groups violating these guidelines.

Majorette Requirement
Each participating group must include at least one majorette:

* ο»Ώο»ΏEach group is allotted 12 to 15 minutes for their performance, including the full performance of Bilib ako,Olongapo ako as the official contest piece
* ο»Ώο»ΏA maximum of 5 minutes will be provided to allow each group to set-up their respective instruments:
* ο»Ώο»ΏTime Penalty: For every fraction of a minute exceeding the allotted time, 3 points will be deducted from the group's final scare.οΏ½Official timers, commissioned by the organizers, will monitor the performance duration.
VII. Costume Guidelines
Costumes must be modest and appropriate.
β’ Pyrotechnics and other hazardous or dangerous props are strictly prohibited.
VIII. Briefing Session
Designated representatives from each participating group are required to attend a final briefing session prior to the competition.

A distinguished panel of judges will evaluate the performances and determine
