When Life Becomes Unfavorable
Life will not always go the way we want. There will be moments when we experience failure, disappointment, problems, loss, and situations that are beyond our control. During these unfavorable moments, we may ask, “Why is this happening to me?” But more importantly, we should ask ourselves, “What will I do with my faith?”
When everything is going well, it is easy to serve God, attend worship, pray, and remain faithful. But our faith is truly tested when life becomes difficult. Will we continue to serve Him, or will we neglect Him because our circumstances are not favorable?
The Bible reminds us in Job 13:15, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him.” Job experienced tremendous suffering, yet he chose to continue trusting God. His circumstances changed, but his faith did not have to change with them.
Unfavorable circumstances should not become a reason to turn away from God. Instead, they can become opportunities to grow stronger in faith, to depend more on Him, and to understand that our relationship with God should not be based only on blessings.
So when life becomes difficult, keep serving Him. Keep praying. Keep trusting. Keep doing what is right. We may not understand everything that happens, but we can always choose to remain faithful.
After all, our faith should not depend on whether life is favorable or unfavorable. We serve God not only because of what He gives us, but because He is worthy of our faithfulness.
As Galatians 6:9 says, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
When life becomes unfavorable, don't give up on God. Hold on to Him, because He is still holding on to you.
