Invest in the skills that build your career, and the space that helps you build it.

“Nasa skills naman yan, wala yan sa gamit or tools.”
And for the longest time, I believed that too.

When I started working online, basta may laptop, internet, at table, pwede na. And yes—your skills will always matter more than having an aesthetic setup.

Pero after years of working from home, I learned that investing in yourself also means investing in the environment you work in every day.

Hindi kailangan mamahalin. For me, I slowly upgraded things based on what actually made working easier; better tools, a more comfortable setup, and less clutter.

Even something as simple as adding a wooden riser helped me create more space and keep my desk organized.

Looking at my setup before vs. now, hindi lang naman aesthetics yung nagbago. I genuinely enjoy working here more.
So yes, invest in your skills.

But once you’re able to, invest in your tools and workspace too. You spend 8+ hours a day there—it’s okay to make it a space you actually enjoy. 🤍

I used to think being a good freelancer meant always saying YES.

Can you do this? Yes.
Can you take this extra task? Yes.
Can you jump on a quick call? Yes.
Can you work a little longer today?
…also yes. 😂

There was a point in my online career when working 60–70 hours a week felt almost normal.
And somehow, part of me was proud of it.
I thought being busy meant I was doing well.
I wanted to be dependable. I wanted my clients to know na kapag binigay nila sa akin, gagawin ko.

But eventually I realized:
Being reliable and being endlessly available are two different things.
You can care about your work without answering every message immediately.
You can be a good employee without saying yes to every additional task.
And you can have boundaries without being “maarte” or difficult to work with.

Actually, the longer I've worked online, the more I've realized that sustainability matters.

Because what's the point of building a good career if you're constantly exhausted by it?

Do good work.
Communicate properly.
Meet your commitments.
Take ownership.
But also learn when enough is enough.

Your goal shouldn't just be to survive another workweek.

Build a career that you can actually sustain for years.

My little corner that pays the bills. 💸

This morning I thanked God for my job, one of His channels of provision. Some days are not easy, most days are challenging but I remain grateful for this blessing! ✨

I asked God to help me, as I help myself. 🙏

One thing I learned from years of WFH: hindi mo kailangan maging productive for 8 hours straight. 😭

Minsan mas effective pa yung 25 minutes na locked in ka talaga, then take a quick break.

That’s basically the Pomodoro Technique — and lately I’ve been using this little Pomodoro cube para mas madali siyang gawin.

Flip the cube. Focus. Break. Repeat.

Simple lang, pero if you’re struggling to focus lately, try it. 👩🏻‍💻

Sometimes you don’t need more time. You just need to use your time better.
