Subic Broadcasting Corporation (SBC) was first founded in 1969 as a daily radio companion of the people of Olongapo in providing news and entertainment. When it was incorporated on July 29, 1969 it began broadcasting on the AM frequency 1557 kHz as DWGO "Radio on the Go". After being temporarily closed during martial law in 1972, it resumed operation in 1976 on a new frequency - DWGO 1008 kHz. SBC
later added a sister station on the FM Band - DWOK 97.5 mHz, which began its regular operation on March 20, 1996. SBC soon acquired a franchise for radio and television operation, which began to broadcast regularly in January 2011 as DWAB TV 22 - the first free TV Channel in Olongapo City. Presently, TV 22 is the only television station in Olongapo while both DWGO AM and DWOK FM maintains their positions as rated Number 1 among the stations in the city. With more than 40 years of experience in the radio and entertainment industry, SBC has remains consistent in providing the following services: media and broadcasting service, local adverts, national adverts, event organizing, barker service, news coverage, special programs / projects and the production of various promotion materials. In the early half of the year 2013, SBC partnered with TV 5 (Philippines) to better serve the viewing public of Olongapo, Zambales, Bataan, and neighboring areas. Subic Broadcasting Corporation is a duly registered corporation under the Securities and Exchange Commission (Philippines) and licensed to install and operate radio and broadcasting stations anywhere in the country by virtue of Republic Act 7511, signed in May 1992.
