LARARA FESTIVAL 2026 PRODUCTION TEAM WRAPS UP BARANGAY MONITORING ON DAY 4

The Larara Festival 2026 Production Team, together with Mayor Roy Ador (Mano), continued its fourth day of monitoring and evaluation, visiting Barangays San Roque, Paypayon, Riverside, and Tawagan to assess their preparations for the upcoming Oras Town Fiesta Grand Celebration.

The visits highlight the participating communities’ commitment, creativity, and teamwork as they prepare to showcase their talents and the stories behind their respective OBRA Program initiatives.

ORAS ERT/MDRRMO SECURES 1ST RUNNER-UP IN STAR OF LIFE AT 2ND PROVINCIAL RESCUE JAMBOREE 2026

The Oras Emergency Response Team (ERT), under the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), proudly represented the Municipality of Oras at the 2nd Provincial Rescue Jamboree 2026, held from September 28 to October 2, 2026, in Guiuan, Mercedes, and Salcedo, Eastern Samar.

The Oras team earned 1st Runner-Up in the Star of Life competition, demonstrating the dedication, skills, and preparedness of its emergency responders in providing life-saving services and responding to emergencies.

Anchored on the theme, “Mas Mabakud Nga Estehanon” (Building Stronger, Safer and More Resilient Emergency Response Teams), the jamboree brought together emergency response teams across the province to strengthen rescue capabilities, promote collaboration, and enhance disaster preparedness.

This recognition reflects the commitment of Oras’ emergency responders to protecting lives and building a safer, more resilient community.

Mano, together with the Larara Festival 2026 Production Team, continued the festival’s preparations through a second day of barangay visits, covering Kalaw, Bantayan, Mabuhay, and Burak.

The visits focused on monitoring and evaluating the participating barangays’ presentations as they prepare for the upcoming Oras Town Fiesta Grand Celebration. Through the festival, communities showcase their creativity, unity, and pride while highlighting the people behind the OBRA Program.

ORAS RHU MARKS NEW CHAPTER WITH RENOVATED FACILITY, NEW SERVICE VEHICLE

The Municipal Government of Oras, through the Oras Rural Health Unit (RHU), marked a significant milestone in strengthening local healthcare services with the blessing and turnover of its newly renovated facility and service vehicle on September 30, 2026, in Brgy. Butnga, Oras, Eastern Samar.

The newly improved RHU provides a more conducive and accessible space for delivering essential health services to the community, while the additional service vehicle is expected to further support healthcare operations and service delivery across Oras.

The initiative reflects the municipality’s continuing commitment to improving health infrastructure and bringing more responsive healthcare services closer to every Orasnon.
