Freemasons 16-Miler: The Golden Hour

Dear Runners and Participants,

We would like to announce a rerouting of the upcoming Freemason 16-Miler road run. After careful consideration and for your safety, we have decided to revise the 25KM route to eliminate the offroad sections and adjust the course to avoid areas with high-speed vehicle traffic on the coastal road. 𝟴𝗞𝗠 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟭𝟲𝗞𝗠 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝘀.

This change was necessary to ensure a safer and more enjoyable experience for everyone involved. We understand that this may cause inconvenience, and we appreciate your understanding and flexibility.

Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm, beer stations remain as is though. We look forward to seeing you at the race and wish you the best of luck!

Freemasons 16-Miler: The Golden Hour

RACE RULES AND REGULATIONS

In the interest of safety, fairness, and order, all participants are required to strictly observe the following race rules and regulations:

1. Race Bib – Each runner must wear the official race bib in front and ensure it is visible at all times during the race.
2. No Bib, No Run Policy – Only registered participants with official race bibs will be allowed to join the race.
3. Course Compliance – All participants must remain on the designated and properly marked course. Any deviation or shortcut will result in disqualification.
4. Aid and Hydration Stations – Runners are advised to use the official stations provided. Littering along the course is strictly prohibited.
5. Unauthorized Assistance – The use of pacers, support vehicles, or any form of unauthorized assistance is not allowed.
6. Medical Assistance – Runners who require medical attention must immediately approach race medics or officials. The medical team and race organizers have full authority to withdraw a participant for safety reasons.
7. Cut-off Time – Participants who fail to meet the designated cut-off time will not be allowed to continue and will be transported back to the finish area.
8. Sportsmanship – Respect towards fellow runners, volunteers, officials, and spectators is mandatory. Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.
9. Environmental Responsibility – Participants must dispose of waste properly and help maintain the cleanliness of the race venue and route.
10. Organizer’s Authority – The decision of the Race Director and organizing committee is final and non-appealable.

By participating in this event, runners signify their full understanding and acceptance of the above rules and regulations.

PUBLIC ADVISORY!!!!!

Ormoc City is about to witness history as more than 10,000 energetic runners hit the streets for the National MILO Marathon Ormoc Leg! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️💚

📅 Date: August 31, 2025 (Sunday)
🕛 Time: 1:00 AM – 7:00 AM
📍 Location: Ormoc City roads (Superdome–Macabug–ODH Rotunda route I Superdome-SM Center Ormoc route)

⚠️ Expect large crowds and active road use during these hours. Motorists and commuters are respectfully advised to plan ahead as traffic adjustments will be implemented along the race route.

💚 Let’s show our Ormocanon spirit! We encourage everyone to come out, cheer, and support the runners as they conquer the streets.
