🚨 TSUNAMI INFORMATION ADVISORY
AVOID COASTAL AREAS AND BEACHES

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) has issued a tsunami advisory following a magnitude 8.8 earthquake that occurred off the coast of Russia.

📍 Affected Areas: Coastal provinces of the Philippines facing the Pacific Ocean
🕐 Estimated Time of Arrival of Tsunami Waves: Between 1:20 PM and 2:40 PM, July 30, 2025
🌊 Expected Wave Height: Less than 1 meter, but may vary and continue for several hours

Important Notes:

📍The initial wave may not be the largest
📍Unusual sea-level changes may occur
📍Tsunami waves may persist for hours

📢 PHIVOLCS Advises the Public to:

⚠️Stay away from beaches, coastal areas, and the shoreline
⚠️Refrain from engaging in any activities near the coast
⚠️Remain vigilant and monitor official updates

Wait for the official cancellation of the advisory before returning to the coastal areas

For your safety, please comply with all advisories and instructions from PHIVOLCS and local authorities.

JUST IN: Tsunami waves with height of less than one meter are expected in the following areas between 1:20 p.m. and 2:40 p.m. on July 30, says state seismologists:

• Batanes Group of Islands
• Cagayan
• Isabela
• Aurora
• Quezon
• Camarines Norte
• Camarines Sur
• Albay
• Sorsogon
• Catanduanes
• Northern Samar
• Eastern Samar
• Leyte
• Southern Leyte
• Dinagat Islands
• Surigao del Norte
• Surigao del Sur
• Davao del Norte
• Davao Oriental
• Davao Occidental
• Davao del Sur
• Davao de Oro

“The concerned public is advised to be on alert for unusual waves. People are also advised to stay away from the beach and not to go to the coast of the following provinces until the cancellation of this advisory,” says Phivolcs.
