HIGH ALERT! Security has been tightly bolstered at Misamis Occidental National High School (MONHS) after local officials and law enforcement intercepted a dangerous shooting threat posted on social media.
Mayor Lemuel Meyrick Acosta, accompanied by Police Major Adrian Aujero Nalua, led a security assessment at the MONHS campus after an account under the name "Clark James" posted a credible threat.
To neutralize any potential risk, a combined force comprising elements from the local station, the Provincial Police Office under PCol. Reynaldo Maclang, and the 1st and 2nd Police Mobile Force Companies were deployed directly to the campus perimeter.
Local officials reiterated that campus operations will proceed under heavy police visibility to guarantee the safety of every student and faculty member.
