𝙃𝘼𝙋𝙋𝙔 𝘽𝙄𝙍𝙏𝙃𝘿𝘼𝙔, 𝘼𝙍𝘾𝙃𝘽𝙄𝙎𝙃𝙊𝙋 𝙈𝘼𝙍𝙏𝙄𝙉 𝙅𝙐𝙈𝙊𝘼𝘿! 🎂

𝗡𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗠𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝟭𝟭 | The Knights of the Altar – Holy Rosary Parish, Oroquieta City is one with all of Christ's faithful in thanking the Lord for the gift of our dear 𝘼𝙧𝙘𝙝𝙗𝙞𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙥 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙣 𝙅𝙪𝙢𝙤𝙖𝙙, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Ozamis, as he celebrates his 69th birthday today, November 11, the liturgical feast of Saint Martin of Tours, also a bishop and his namesake.

May the Master whom you serve in fidelity and in joy strengthen and bless you as you shepherd the Archdiocese of Ozamis.

📌 𝗜𝗞𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗟𝗢: Alang sa mga 𝙨𝙤𝙗𝙧𝙚 𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙥𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙨𝙖 pahinungod sa mga kalag sa purgatoryo ning tibuok bulan sa Nobyembre, 𝙥𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙝𝙤𝙜 𝙞-𝙙𝙞𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙨𝙤 𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙞 𝙥𝙖𝙜𝙝𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙜 𝙨𝙖 𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙥𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙖. Ang atong parish staff mao na ang muhulog niini nganha sa atong tumba-tumba, kon box nga responsohan matag Misa.

"THE ROSARY IS THE WEAPON FOR THESE TIMES "—ST. PADRE PIO

The phrase "the rosary is the weapon for these times" is a famous quote by Saint Padre Pio of Pietrelcina, who believed the Rosary was a powerful spiritual tool to combat evil, find peace, and draw closer to God. This idea is supported by other figures like Blessed Pope Pius IX and Saint Francis de Sales, who have called it a powerful weapon, a sword of the Holy Spirit, and an excellent method of prayer against the evils of the world.

| 𝗢𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝟮𝟭 — 𝗦𝗔𝗜𝗡𝗧 𝗣𝗘𝗗𝗥𝗢 𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗨𝗡𝗚𝗦𝗢𝗗. 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙤 𝙎𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙩.

Saint Pedro Calungsod was a migrant, sacristan and missionary catechist, who along with the Spanish Jesuit missionary, Diego Luis de San Vitores, suffered religious persecution and martyrdom in Guam for their missionary work in 1672.

While in Guam, Calungsod preached Christianity to the Chamorro people through catechism, while baptizing infants, children and adults at the risk and expense of being persecuted and eventually murdered. Through Calungsod and San Vitores' missionary efforts, many native Chamorros converted to Roman Catholicism.

Calungsod was formally beatified on March 5, 2000 by Pope John Paul II, and had been canonized by Pope Benedict XVI at Saint Peter's Basilica in Vatican City on October 21, 2012. He is the second Filipino Saint and hailed as the patron saint of the Filipino youth, catechists, catechumens, and altar servers.

Parish Youth Ministry Monthly Meeting

Another blessed and fruitful gathering of our young faithful!

With hearts full of joy and dedication, the Parish Youth Ministry came together once again to share ideas, strengthen our mission, and deepen our love for Christ and His Church.

Guided and inspired by our ever-supportive Director, Rev. Fr. Elias Tabuco, we reflected on our purpose as young servants of God — to lead with faith, serve with humility, and build a stronger, united youth community within our parish.

Amidst prayers, songs, and devotion, we honor Our Lady of the Holy Rosary, our Mother of perpetual help and intercession.
Through every candle lit and every Hail Mary whispered, may our hearts draw closer to Christ through Mary’s loving guidance.
