📣 [OPINYON] Respect the Supreme Court - Stop Harassing the LGU
The Supreme Court has already spoken. In G.R. No. 252170, the petition was dismissed, final, and executory. The RTC orders were affirmed, and the TRO was denied. Walay duha-duha: the case is closed.
Pero unsa man ni? A certain politician and his detractors keep reviving this dead issue, as if ang ilang political noise makapildi pa sa desisyon sa highest tribunal. Klarohon nato: this is not accountability—this is arrogance, harassment, and political grandstanding.
Walay Respéto sa Balaod
By refusing to accept the High Court’s ruling, dili lang LGU ang ilang gi-question—gi-insulto nila ang Supreme Court mismo. Ang pasabot ani? Walay respeto sa balaod, walay respeto sa proseso, ug walay respeto sa institusyon. This is not about truth anymore—it’s about ego. And when ego tries to stand above the Supreme Court, ang demokrasya maoy mag-antos.
Ang LGU Ligal
The City of Ozamiz acted within its legal mandate, ug gi-affirm kini sa Supreme Court. Mao kini ang lesson: kung lig-on ug legal ang buhat sa LGU, bisan unsa pa nga atake gikan sa detractors, protektado kini sa balaod ug hustisya. Ang padayong pagbalik-balik sa usa ka kaso nga gi-close na sa Korte Suprema is not about check and balance—it’s pure harassment in disguise.
Dili Na Ni Serbisyo Publiko
Ang mga detractors nga nagpadako ani nga isyu dili nagtabang sa demokrasya—ila hinuon gi-cheapen. They turn justice into propaganda, ug institutions into political weapons. Dangerous ni nga dalan. Kay kung ang balaod himoong props sa politika, mawagtang ang trust sa governance ug sa rule of law.
Tapos Na Ang Istorya
The Supreme Court is the final arbiter, dili ang political stage. Ang desisyon klaro, final, ug binding. Ang sige’g pang-ukay sa patay nga isyu walay labot sa katawhan—labot lang sa personal nga ambisyon.
It’s time to stop the circus. Respect the Court. Respect the LGU. Respect democracy. The case is closed—ang nabilin lang nga bukas mao ang garbo ug political arrogance.
