PPA-OZAMIZ NANGULO SA PAGBUKAS SA NATIONAL MARITIME WEEK 2026

Gipangunahan sa Philippine Ports Authority – Ozamiz (PPA-Ozamiz) ang opening ceremony sa National Maritime Week 2026 niadtong Setyembre 21, 2026 sa Ozamiz Port, Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental.

Ubos sa tema nga “Marinong Pilipino: Matatag sa Alon, Matibay sa Hamon,” gisentro sa kasaulogan ang paghatag og pasidungog sa mahinungdanong papel sa industriya sa maritima ug sa mga Pilipinong seafarer sa paglambo sa ekonomiya ug sa nasud.

Mitambong ug mipakita sa ilang suporta ang mga representante sa nagkadaiyang shipping lines, Coast Guard Sub-Station Ozamiz (CGSS Ozamiz), Coast Guard Station Misamis Occidental (CGS MisOcc), Coast Guard Sub-Station Tangub (CGSS Tangub), ug uban pang maritime stakeholders.

Pinaagi sa National Maritime Week, giila ug gipasidunggan ang mga marinong Pilipino sa ilang dedikasyon, serbisyo, ug sakripisyo alang sa industriya ug sa nasud.

Gipasiugda usab sa maong selebrasyon ang kamahinungdanon sa panaghiusa ug lig-on nga kolaborasyon tali sa mga ahensya sa gobyerno, shipping industry, ug ubang stakeholders aron mas mapalig-on pa ang sektor sa maritima ug ang kontribusyon niini sa padayong pag-uswag sa nasud.

Alas 12:45 sa udto karong adlawa, September 22, 2026, nahitabo ang disgrasya sa dalan sa P-1 Brgy. Carangan tali sa usa ka single motor ug usa ka motor nga may sidecar.

Ang driver sa sidecar daling gidala sa tambalanan, samtang ang driver sa single motor nakaangkon usab ug mga samad.

47-ANYOS NGA PULIS SA JIMENEZ, GRABENG NASAMDAN HUMAN MABANGGAAN SA CHECKPOINT

JIMENEZ, Misamis Occidental – Nakaangkon og grabeng samad ang usa ka 47-anyos nga sakop sa Jimenez Municipal Police Station human mabanggaan sa usa ka pribadong sakyanan samtang nagpahigayon og checkpoint sa Barangay Butuay, alas 9:45 sa gabii, Setyembre 21, 2026.

Ang nakabangga usa ka Mitsubishi Xpander nga gimaneho sa usa ka 60-anyos nga retiradong sundalo. Matud sa imbestigasyon, gikan ang sakyanan sa Aloran ug padulong sa Ozamiz City dihang kalit kining mibangga sa signage ug sa police officer nga naka-duty.

Gilayon nga gidala sa tambalanan ang biktima. Samtang ang drayber nga gituohang nakainom sa makahubog nga ilimnon, anaa na karon sa kustodiya sa Jimenez MPS alang sa tukmang disposisyon.

MOTORCAB NGA NA-DISGRASYA SA SEBASI, CLARIN; DRIVER NAKA-ANGKON OG SAMAD

Unconscious ug adunay samad nga naangkon ang usa ka 56-anyos nga driver sa motorcab human kini ma-disgrasya sa barangay road sa Purok-2, Sebasi, Clarin alas-11 sa udto karong Setyembre 21, 2026.

Ang biktima giilang si Romeo Orcullo, minyo, residente sa Purok-3, Embargo, Ozamiz City, Misamis Occidental. Ang iyang pagkatao nasayran pinaagi sa dokumento nga nakita sa iyang motorcab.

Sumala sa impormasyon, dali nga niresponde ang mga residente sa maong lugar ug gidala dayon ang biktima sa pinakaduol nga tambalanan pinaagi sa rescue vehicle.

Padayon pa karon nga giimbestigahan sa Clarin MPS kung lone accident ba ang hitabo ug kung adunay sakay nga pasahero ang motorcab sa dihang nahitabo ang disgrasya.

PRC X, MISAMIS OCCIDENTAL LGUs WORK ON ESTABLISHMENT OF OFFSITE SERVICE CENTER IN OZAMIZ CITY

OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental — The Professional Regulation Commission Regional Office X (PRC X), the Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental and the City Government of Ozamiz are coordinating on the proposed establishment of a PRC Offsite Service Center (OSC) in Ozamiz City.

A coordination and planning meeting was held on September 17, 2026, to discuss the requirements and preparations needed for the proposed service center.

PRC X Regional Director Julie L. Sabalza led the meeting, attended by PRC officials and representatives from the provincial and city governments.

The discussions focused on the administrative, operational and other practical requirements for establishing the OSC.

The proposed service center is intended to provide PRC services closer to professionals and aspiring professionals in Misamis Occidental and nearby areas.

The participating offices also discussed the preparations and coordination necessary for the establishment of the facility.

The meeting is part of the continuing coordination between PRC X and the two local governments as they work through the requirements for the proposed PRC Offsite Service Center in Ozamiz City.

📰📣The Local Government Unit (LGU) of Baliangao proudly received the FSP Advocate Award during the 63rd Fish Conservation Week, making it the sole awardee from Misamis Occidental and the entire Region 10. This prestigious recognition honors LGUs that have shown strong support and significant contributions to the Fisheries Scholarship Program (FSP).

Led by Mayor Golda Catherine June Yap-Resma, Forever Mayor Agne Yap Sr., and the Municipal Council, LGU Baliangao expressed deep gratitude for the award, noting that it inspires them to continue investing in the youth and safeguarding natural resources for a sustainable future.

Acknowledgment was also extended to Governor Henry S. Oaminal and Misamis Occidental Representatives, Cong. Ja*on Almonte, Cong. Ando Oaminal, and Cong. Indy Oaminal for their support and commitment to good governance.

The Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) played a vital role in the successful implementation of the program and in advancing fisheries and conservation efforts. The LGU vows to further strengthen education and environmental protection initiatives, ensuring a brighter and more sustainable future for Baliangao and the province of Misamis Occidental.
