BARBERO NASIKOP SA DRUG BUST SA BRGY. BAΓ‘ADERO

Nasikop sa mga kapulisan ang usa ka 43 anyos nga barbero human kini mapalitan og gidudahang ilegal nga droga atol sa buy-bust operation nga gipahigayon karong gabii, Hunyo 14, sa Barangay Banadero, ning dakbayan sa Ozamiz.

Giila ang nadakpan sa alyas nga "Roy," usa ka barbero, bulag sa asawa ug adunay unom ka mga anak nga anaa sa iyang pag-atiman. Nasayran nga kaniadto siyang residente sa Banadero apan karon nagpuyo sa Purok 2, Barangay Bongbong.

I first met Cong. Jorge on a flight back to Ozamiz when I was still a student. He was warm and kind then, and every time our paths crossed over the years, he remained the same.

I am saddened by his passing.

Upon searching through my phone I realize this is the only photo I ever took with him.

Cong. Jorge spent much of his life serving Misamis Occidentalβ€”as a prosecutor, Oroquieta City vice mayor and mayor, and as representative of the first district.

He undoubtedly touched many lives through his years of public service.

Rest in peace, Cong. Jorge.

My deepest condolences to the Almonte family and the people of Misamis Occidental.

ARSOBISPO JUMOAD: ANG KALAMIDAD DILI KATAPUSAN KUNDI HIGAYON SA PAGBALIK SA GINOO

Residents of Misamis Occidental are advised to remain vigilant as moderate to heavy rains continue to affect the province due to the prevailing Easterlies, according to the latest rainfall advisory issued at 5:00 PM today.

The current weather condition may persist within the next 2 to 3 hours, increasing the risk of flooding in low-lying areas and possible landslides in mountainous and landslide-prone communities.
