OPENING PRAYER
O my Jesus, Saint Veronica served You on the way to Calvary by wiping Your Beloved Face with her veil on which Your Sacred Image then appeared. She protected this treasure, and whenever people touched it, they were miraculously healed. I ask her to pray for the growth of my ability to see Your Sacred Image in others, to recognize their hurts, to stop and join them on their difficult journeys, and to feel the same compassion for them as she did for You. Show me how to wipe their faces, served their needs and heal their wounds, reminding me that as I do this for them, I also do this for You. Saint Veronica, intercede for me. Amen.

PREPARATORY PRAYER TO THE HOLY FACE OF JESUS
O Most Holy and Blessed Trinity, through the intercession of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary, whose soul was pierced because of sorrow at the sight of the passion of Her Divine Son, we ask Thy help in making a perfect Novena of reparation with Jesus, united with all His sorrows, love and total abandonment.
We now implore all the Angels and Saints to intercede for us as we pray this Novena to the Most Holy Face of Jesus and to Saint Veronica, His servant and for the glory of the Most Holy Trinity; Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.
PRAYER FOR THE SECOND DAY
โMy offenses truly I know them; My sin is always before me. Against Thee, Thee alone, have I sinned; what is evil in Thy sight I have done.โ โ Psalm 51: 5-6a
Most Holy Face of Jesus, we are truly sorry that we have hurt Thee so much by constantly doing what is wrong; and for all the good works we have failed to do. Immaculate Heart of Mary; Saint Joseph, intercede for us, help us to console the Most Holy Face of Jesus. Pray that we may share in the tremendous love Thou hast for one another and for the most Holy and Blessed Trinity. Amen
Come, Holy Spirit, Sanctifier, all powerful God of love, Thou Who didst fill the Virgin Mary with grace, Thou Who didst wonderfully transform the hearts of the Apostles, Thou Who didst endow all Thy martyrs with a miraculous heroism, come and sanctify us; illumine our minds, strengthen our wills, purify our consciences, rectify our judgments, set our hearts on fire and preserve us from the misfortune of resisting Thine inspirations. We consecrate to Thee our understanding, our heart and our will, our whole being for time and for eternity. May our understanding be always submissive to Thy heavenly inspirations and to the teachings of Thy Holy Catholic Church, of which Thou art the infallible guide; may our heart be ever inflamed with love of God and neighbor; may our will be ever conformed to the divine will, and may our whole life be a faithful imitation of the life and virtues of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, to whom with the Father and Thee be honor and glory forever. O adorable Face, whose Divine look wounded the heart of Peter, with a dart of sorrow and love,
O adorable Face, humbled for us at the tribunals of Jerusalem,
O adorable Face, which didst preserve Thy serenity when Pilate pronounced the fatal sentence,
O adorable Face, covered with sweat and blood, and falling in the mire under the heavy weight of the Cross,
O adorable Face, worthy of all our respect, veneration and worship,
O adorable Face, wiped with a veil by a pious woman on the road to Calvary,

Let us pray:
O my Jesus, cast upon us a look of mercy. Turn Thy Face towards each of us as Thou didst to Saint Veronica. Not that we may see It with our bodily eyes, for this we do not deserve, that turn it towards our hearts, so that remembering Thee, we may ever draw from this fountains of strength the vigor necessary to sustain the combats of life.
FAMILY CONSECRATION TO THE MOST HOLY FACE OF JESUS
O Lord Jesus, we believe most firmly in Thee, we love Thee. Thou art the Eternal Son of God and the Son Incarnate of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Thou art the Lord and Absolute Ruler of all creation. We acknowledge Thee, therefore, as the Universal Sovereign of all creatures. Thou art the Lord and Supreme Ruler of all mankind, and we, in acknowledging this, Thy dominion, consecrate ourselves to Thee now and forever. Loving Jesus, we place our family under the protection of Thy Holy Face, and of Thy Virgin Mother, Mary most sorrowful. We promise to be faithful to Thee for the rest of our lives and to observe with fidelity Thy Holy Commandments. We will never deny before men, Thee and Thy Divine rights over us and all mankind. Grant us the grace to never sin again; nevertheless, should we fail, O Divine Savior, have mercy on us and restore us to Thy grace. Radiate Thy Divine Countenance upon us and bless us now and forever. Embrace us at the hour of death in Thy Kingdom for all eternity, through the intercession of Thy Blessed Mother, of all thy Saints who behold Thee in Heaven, and the just who glorify Thee on earth, O Jesus, be mindful of us forever and never forsake us; protect our family. O Mother of Sorrows, by the eternal glory which thou dost enjoy in Heaven, through the merits of thy bitter anguish in the Sacred Passion of thy Beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, obtain for us the grace that the Precious Blood shed by Jesus for the redemption of our souls, be not shed for us in vain. We love thee, O Mary. Embrace us and bless us, O Mother. Protect us in life and in death. Amen.

PRAYER TO SAINT VERONICA
Saint Veronica, you lovingly offered Christ a cloth on His way to Golgotha, which He used to wipe the Precious Blood from His Holy Face. In return for this great act of kindness that You gave to Him, He left you His Most Holy Image on the cloth.
Saint Veronica, pray for us to our Lord Jesus that His Holy Face may be imprinted on our hearts, so that we may always be mindful of His tortuous Passion and Death, which He endured for love of us. Dearest Saint Veronica, increase our desire to gaze upon that most radiant face of our Redeemer, that face that so closely resembles the face of His mother, Mary. May our longing for the beatific vision, of beholding God face to face, motivate us to give our lives away in service to the Lord. May we ceaselessly search for Christ in the face of the poor, the sick, the dying, the lonely, the rejected, and the unloved. May we joyfully sing out with the psalmist, โOf You my heart has spoken, seek His face. It is Your face O Lord that I seek, hide not Your face.โ (Psalm 27:8-9) Amen.

CLOSING PRAYER
O Jesus, who, in Thy cruel Passion didst become the 'reproach of men and the Man of Sorrows. I worship Thy divine Face. Once it shone with the beauty and sweetness of the Divinity; but now, for my sake, it is become as 'the face of a l***r.' Yet, in that disfigured Countenance, I recognize Thy infinite love, and I am consumed with the desire of making Thee loved by all mankind. The tears that flowed so abundantly from Thy Eyes are to me as precious pearls that I delight to gather, that with their worth I may ransom the souls of poor sinners. O Jesus, whose Face is the sole beauty that ravishes my heart, I may not see here below the sweetness of Thy glance, nor feel the ineffable tenderness of Thy kiss, I bow to
Thy Willโbut I pray Thee to imprint in me Thy divine likeness, and I implore Thee so to inflame me with Thy love, that it may quickly consume me, and that I may soon reach the vision of Thy glorious Face in heaven. Amen.
May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most incomprehensible and ineffable Name of God be forever praised, blessed, loved, adored, and glorified in Heaven, on earth, and under the earth, by all the creatures of God, and by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ, in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.
