NEWS: NC welcomes first years, transferees with two-day orientation
To formally welcome the incoming first-year students and transferees for the academic year 2025-2026, Northeastern College (NC) through the Guidance and Counseling Center conducted a two-day General Orientation Program held at NC Function Hall, July 3-4.
Dr. Noriel Caillan, Guidance and Scholarship Coordinator, delivered an inspiring message to the new students. Dr. Caillan mentioned that college life is a journey of growth and discovery. He also shared the different scholarship grants offered by the institution.
Madam Ma. Sarah Laarni C. Abarquez, HR Director, introduced the school’s key officials and personnel along with their functions. Administrative Heads from the library, clinic, and NCIS gave presentations on how students could access academic resources, health services, and digital platforms such as the SIAS - Learning Management System (LMS) and student portals. Department heads and program coordinators also introduced the respective faculty members.
Meanwhile, Mr. Marlon Jay B. Baysa, Director of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS), presented a detailed discussion on student discipline, school policies, and security protocols, followed by the Registrar's Office led by Ms. Juvielyn Agustin, Officer in Charge, who explained enrollment procedures, school forms, and calendar.
The event, led by the School President Dr. Tomas C. Bautista, in partnership with the different academic and administrative departments, served as an essential platform to introduce students to the college’s core values, academic expectations, institutional policies, and support services.
