With pride and purpose, and in stride with its commitment to leadership, discipline, and service, Northeastern College (NC) officially opened its new Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Office in a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at 4Lanes Plaza, August 29
The event marked a significant achievement for the institution’s National Service Training Program (NSTP), through the ROTC—symbolizing not just the expansion of physical space, but also the school’s renewed dedication to nurturing student leadership and national responsibility.

He emphasized that Northeastern College believes the youth are key players in nation-building and that the ROTC program is essential in teaching patriotism and shaping students into disciplined and respectful Filipino citizens.
Hon. KC Bautista, speaking on behalf of the Office of the President, gave an overview of the project and shared encouraging words about the administration’s vision for the ROTC program. She assured cadets and officers that while this new office is a solid beginning, better facilities are being planned, asking for a bit more time as the administration works to meet the unit’s growing needs.
Commandant LTC Venus R. Pascual and Corps Commander Maenell Maris L. Pascual both addressed the audience with messages of pride in the unit’s progress and continued commitment to service. The event concluded with Cpt. Junamy O. Labastida delivering closing remarks, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to the project.
The highlight of the program was the formal ribbon cutting, officially opening the new ROTC Office. Guests, faculty, and students were then invited to tour the space, followed by snacks and fellowship.
