Educators, researchers, and academic leaders gathered in a meaningful exchange of ideas and scholarly collaboration during Day 1 of the research conference spearheaded by the Research Center of Northeastern College - Graduate School (NC), featuring discussions on entrepreneurial education, sustainability, inclusivity, and ethical data governance in the digital age.
In his opening and welcome remarks, Glen Darrel D. Cabote, MAEd-LL, LPT, Coordinator of the Research Center, emphasized the importance of research and academic discourse in addressing present-day educational and societal challenges. He highlighted the conference as a platform for innovation, partnership, and transformative learning among educators and researchers.
Meanwhile, Northeastern College (NC) School President Dr. Tomas C. Bautista, represented by the Executive Assistant to the President, Ms. Katrina Camille Bautista, delivered the inspirational message, encouraging participants to continue advancing knowledge through collaborative research initiatives and responsive educational practices.
One of the highlights of the conference was the plenary presentation of Dr. Client William Melchor Malinao titled โReimagining Entrepreneurial University: Pathways to Inclusivity, Sustainable Communities and Global Collaboration.โ His discussion focused on redefining the entrepreneurial university model by integrating inclusivity, sustainable development, and international cooperation into institutional frameworks.
After a short snack and health break, the conference resumed with the second plenary session featuring Dr. Ariel M. Lorenzo, who delivered a timely presentation entitled โCyber-Governance and Ethical Data Privacy Frameworks: Risk Management Policies in the Age of Cloud Migration.โ Dr. Lorenzo tackled pressing concerns surrounding cybersecurity, ethical data handling, and institutional risk management in the era of digital transformation.
The afternoon session proceeded with parallel presentations facilitated by designated session managers, allowing researchers and presenters to showcase their studies and engage in scholarly discussions across various disciplines.
