Blessing of 547EBn Hall of Flags, Admin Building, and Newly Constructed Water Refilling Station.

Kuta Dao, Pagadian City– The 547th Engineer (Agila) Battalion, 54th Engineer (Sarangay) Brigade, Philippine Army marked a significant milestone on July 12, 2025 with the blessing of its Hall of Flags, Admin Building, and the Newly Constructed Water Refilling Station at Headquarters, 547EBn, 54EBde, PA, Kuta Dao, Pagadian City.

The ceremony started with an invocation by REV CPT ALLEN R MUNDA (CHS) PA, Division Chaplain, 1ID, PA and was graced by BGEN DARWIN F HERNANDEZ PA, Commander, 54EBde, PA. It was followed by the ribbon cutting and blessing of said facilities which was participated in by the Officers and Enlisted Personnel of the battalion.

During the event, the unveiling of the marker and the blessing of the Newly Constructed Water Refilling Station symbolizes a renewed commitment to innovation and infrastructure development within the Philippine Army. The said refilling station is named after the moniker of the BGEN HERNANDEZ “Enyong Lingkod" denoting his selfless and dedicated service to God, country, and people.

"These facilities represents more than just a building—it stands as a symbol of our commitment to innovation that boosts the morale of our personnel, adaptability to change mindset, and mission readiness," stated by BGEN HERNANDEZ. He extended his appreciation to the leadership of LTC CARAG for setting standard even higher and ensuring the morale and welfare of personnel were taken cared accordingly. Likewise, he also recognized the personnel of this unit whose dedicated efforts made the completion of the projects possible.

In conclusion, the blessing of these facilities marks not only the completion of an important infrastructure project but also the beginning of enhanced operational readiness and improved welfare of our troops. It serves as a reflection of our collective commitment to excellence, service, and continuous development of our unit. May these facilities inspire greater dedication and unity as we continue to serve with honor, integrity, and purpose.

547th Engineer (Agila) Battalion underwent PAMU Level Annual General Inspection CY 2025

Kuta Dao, Pagadian City, Zamboamboanga del Sur — The 547th Engineer (Agila) Battalion underwent a comprehensive Brigade Annual General Inspection (BAGI) by the 54th Engineer (Sarangay) Brigade, Philippine Army from July 5 to 8, 2025 to validate the battalion's operational readiness, efficiency and adherence to the highest military standards.

The inspection team was spearheaded by COL MICHAEL R LEMI GSC (CE) PA, the Brigade Inspector General of the 54th Engineer Brigade. Their meticulous assessment covered all facets of the battalion's operations, including in-depth document reviews, challenging practical field exercises and realistic operational simulations. This multi-faceted approach ensured a thorough validation of the battalion's compliance with established military protocols and performance benchmarks.

LTC BENJAMIN B CARAG II CE (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer of the 547th Engineer (Agila) Battalion extended his profound appreciation to the inspection team. "Your comprehensive evaluations, constructive feedback and insightful recommendations have provided us with invaluable guidance," he stated. 547th Engineer (Agila) Battalion Joins Mangrove Tree Planting and Coastal Clean-Up for BJMP’s 34th Anniversary

BARANGAY SUGOD, TUKURAN, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR – June 23, 2025 – The 547th Engineer (Agila) Battalion, under the leadership of LTC BENJAMIN B CARAG II CE (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer and represented by CPT RHEANDJELLY S DAUG (CE) PA, Civil-Military Operations Officer actively participated in a Mangrove Tree Planting and Coastal Clean-Up Activity today. The initiative was part of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology's (BJMP) 34th Anniversary celebration.

The environmental effort was a significant collaborative endeavor, involving the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Region IX; Pagadian City Jail Male Dormitory; the Bureau of Fire Protection of Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur and the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) of Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur. This event aligned with the BJMP’s anniversary theme: “Matatag na Serbisyo, Patnubay sa Tunay na Pagbabago” (Resilient Service, Guide to True Change).

547th Engineer (Agila) Battalion Welcomes Home Elite Disaster Response Team and the Unit Receives Generous Donation from PAFCPIC

KUTA DAO, PAGADIAN CITY, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR – June 20, 2025 – The 547th Engineer (AGILA) Battalion, under the command of LTC BENJAMIN B CARAG II CE (GSC) PA proudly hosted a special ceremony today. The event formally welcomed back its dedicated Disaster Response Operations (DRO) Team and celebrated the generous donation of 100 monoblock chairs from the Philippine Army Finance Center Producers Integrated Cooperative (PAFCPIC), Pagadian Branch.

The ceremony commenced with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and an invocation led by MSg Armando A Julio (CE) PA, Battalion Sergeant Major.

MAJ RAYLE P SAYANSAN (CE) PA, Battalion Executive Officer, delivered a heartfelt welcome address emphasizing the significance of the occasion. He lauded the DRO Team's safe return and their exceptional performance during the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2025. Their professionalism, bravery and steadfast commitment to public safety and disaster response are truly commendable.

A pivotal part of the program was the sharing of invaluable experiences and lessons learned from NSED 2025. SSg Elmer L De Monteverde (CE) PA, Team Leader of the Water Search and Rescue and Cpl Edgar H. Cabahug Jr (Inf) PA, representing the Collapse Structure Search and Rescue Team Leader, provided insightful accounts of their roles and the knowledge gained during the nationwide drill.

In recognition of their outstanding performance, Certificates of Appreciation were presented to the DRO personnel, acknowledging their exemplary skill, teamwork and unwavering dedication to the unit's mission.

Another highlight was the official turnover of the 100 monoblock chairs generously donated by PAFCPIC Pagadian Branch. Ms. ROMELIE P. LAWAGON, Branch Manager, formally presented the donation to LTC BENJAMIN B CARAG II CE (GSC) PA symbolizing PAFCPIC's continued support and enduring partnership with the Philippine Army.

In her address, Ms. Lawagon expressed profound appreciation for the 547th Engineer Battalion's unwavering service and sacrifice, reaffirming PAFCPIC's commitment to supporting its military stakeholders.

DIPOLOG CITY, Zamboanga del Norte – June 19, 2025 – The 547th Engineer (Agila) Battalion has been awarded a Plaque of Recognition by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) and the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) for its outstanding support and significant contributions to the successful 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) for Calendar Year 2025.

The prestigious award was presented at the Dipolog Sports Complex, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte. The plaque personally signed by Undersecretary Ariel F.
