Marking a significant milestone in the collegeโs history, the Saint Columban College โ Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (SCC-JPIA) successfully held its first-ever Internship Sendoff Ceremony on July 18, 2025, at the Youth Development Center in Pagadian City.
The program formally honored the transition of 123 accounting students from academic learning to professional practice.
In her welcome remarks, Dr. Susan Ramirez, Dean of the College of Business Education (CBE), commended the internsโ efforts and expressed confidence in their readiness to represent the institution in their respective placements.
Ms. Artchelene D. Pepania, CPA, CTT, MBA, Accountancy Program Coordinator, delivered an inspiring message on the significance of the internship pin, โWearing the pin is not just a formality. It symbolizes your identity as SCC interns, your readiness for the professional world, and your commitment to excellence and ethical practice.โ
Delivering the studentโs response was Renz L. Ngoho, who spoke on behalf of all the students, โIt is in moments like these that we truly see how far we have come together.โ
