Before the graduation rites, the SCC graduates gathered in solemn prayer during the Baccalaureate Mass held at the SCC-YDC Gym. Presided by Most Rev. Ronald Anthony P. Timoner, D.D., STL and co-presided by Rev. Fr. Nestor B. Remasog and Rev. Fr. Rey Caterbas, the mass gave the graduates, their family, and the faculty the opportunity to reflect and appreciate the years of dedication in their academic pursuits. The attendees were reminded of the values of wisdom, preserverance, and discipline that guided them throughout their academic journeys, cementing faith and hope into the celebration.

Saint Columban College (SCC) held its Second Semester Graduation Rites for the S.Y. 2025-2026 at the Youth Development Center (YDC) Gym on April 11, 2026, commemorating a new milestone for each of the graduates' journeys for academic excellence.

The celebration kicked off with a processional march featuring the 165 graduating students with their parents, followed by a baccalaureate mass presided by Most Rev. Ronald Anthony P. Timoner, D.D., STL and co-presided by Rev. Fr. Nestor B. Remasog, STL, PhD, Rev. Fr. Ryean Jill H. Joaquin and Rev. Fr. Rey Caterbas.

The Vice President of Administration, Dr. Mary Jane B. Omandam, PhD, warmly welcomed the graduates, along with their respective families who attended the event. She congratulated the graduates, commending their efforts and achievements and reminding them to keep moving forward with the lessons, experiences, and values that they received from the years that they spent under the institution's guidance.

The school president, Rev. Fr. Remasog, officially proclaimed the graduates as such, marking a momentous milestone for them this semester. This was a manifestation of their well-deserved success and growth throughout their endeavors. The diplomas were distributed afterwards, where the deans of each department presented their respecive graduates.

The SCC Graduation Rites was not only a tribute to the patience, sacrifice, and resolve they exercised in their academic pursuits, but it also signaled a new beginning to their paths towards their goals and dreams in life and career.

The Saint Columban College Reserve Officersโ€™ Training Corps (SCC-ROTC) Unit has once again proven its excellence, achieving an outstanding performance of 99.47% during the Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) on April 10, 2026. This milestone reflects the unitโ€™s unwavering discipline, dedication, and commitment to upholding the highest standards of military training.

Through the leadership of the unit's commandant, Col. Alfred E. Ramones (AGS) GSC, PA, and assistant commandant, 1Lt. Rodolfo R. Martin, PA, the unit showcased exceptional preparedness and coordination throughout the inspection. Their guidance, combined with the steadfast support of Chief Clerk SSg Maricel Laag (AGS) PA, the training staff, and the Graduate Military Assistants, ensured that every aspect of the evaluation was met with precision and excellence.

Leading the corps of cadets and cadettes was CDT LTC Kristel Grace P. Declaro 1CL, Battalion Commander, and officers whose strong and inspiring leadership played a special role in shaping the unitโ€™s success. Through her direction, discipline and integrity were deeply instilled among the members, setting a high morale for all.

The RAATI served as a culmination of months of intensive training, where cadets and cadettes were immersed in rigorous drills, tactical exercises, and military instruction. These activities strengthened not only their physical endurance but also their mental resilience, teamwork, and leadership capabilities.

As the SCC-ROTC Unit celebrates this achievement, it stands as a symbol of duty, valor, patriotism, honor, and excellence. The cadets and cadettes move forward carrying the values they have learned, ready to serve as responsible leaders and active contributors to the nation.

Orgs Fair 2026 officially commenced with the theme โ€œWhere Every Gift Serves a Greater Purpose,โ€ bringing together non-academic organizations grouped into four teams: Vidia, Iridessa, Periwinkle, and Rosetta.

The program opened with welcome remarks from the Director of Student Affairs, Mr. Rosebelt Lomocso, who underscored the value of student involvement beyond academics and encouraged participants to utilize their talents in service to the community. This was followed by a message from GrandScil President Ms. Madynne Omandam, who emphasized unity, leadership, and active participation as essential to the success of the event.

Day 1 featured a series of activities aimed at fostering teamwork and school engagement. It included ball games such as menโ€™s basketball and mixed volleyball, which generated enthusiasm among both players and spectators. A mass dance teaser was also presented, building anticipation for performances scheduled in the coming days.

The opening day set a dynamic tone for the rest of the fair, showcasing student participation and organizational spirit.

The Saint Columban College - Grand Student Council (SCC-GranSCil) successfully brought magic and excitement to campus as it hosted the Orgs Fair 2026 on April 8โ€“9 at the Youth Development Center (YDC), this city.

With a captivating Pixie Hollows-inspired theme, the two-day event highlighted creativity, collaboration, and student engagement, transforming the venue into a vibrant hub of color, fantasy, and school spirit.

The Orgs Fair 2026 was celebrated through the active participation of SCCโ€™s various non-academic clubs, emphasizing that beyond being an academically driven institution, the school also values creativity, passion, and extracurricular involvement.

The event served as a platform to recognize and showcase the often hidden talents of every SCCian, giving students the opportunity to express themselves beyond the classroom.

In her opening remarks, Ms. Madynne B. Omandam, GranSCil President, encouraged students to confidently showcase their abilities, emphasizing that talents are a reflection of who they are as individuals. She urged everyone to step forward, participate, and let their unique skills shine throughout the event.

Meanwhile, in his inspirational message, Mr. Rosebelt S. Lomocso, LPT, MPA, CHRA, CSASS, the Director of Student Affairs (DSA), highlighted the long-term value of joining non-academic clubs.

โ€œWe can have a story to tell to the younger generations,โ€ he shared, inspiring students to actively engage and create meaningful experiences beyond academics.

From fairy-themed decorations to lively showcases, each team demonstrated its unique identity while promoting camaraderie and inclusivity among students.

Through this initiative, SCC reaffirmed its commitment to youth development by encouraging students to explore their interests, build confidence, and develop essential skills.
