𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦, 𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗡𝗦!

After days of training, and preparation, Marian athletes represented the school with great pride and determination in the recently concluded Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association (EVRAA) Meet held in Baybay City, garnering multiple achievements. The Marian athletes nabbed 1 gold medal and 3 bronze medals adding to the overall tally of Leyte Division.

An honorable commendation goes to Mark Gabriel Burce, who blazed through the track to secure the Gold Medal in the Boys 1500m run. Burce will qualify for the Palarong Pambansa 2026.

On the badminton court, Mikaela Louise Reposar and Mikaela Louise Palacio showcased impressive teamwork and coordination to take home the Bronze Medal in the Girls Doubles category.

The intensity continued on the mat, where Philip Jr. Blanco fought with true grit to earn the Bronze Medal in the Boys Taekwondo Welterweight division, and Nathan Cyvonne Creer showed great composure to successfully qualify for the Boys Taekwondo Flyweight category.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | Marian athletes officially secured their spots on the podium at the Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association (EVRAA) 2026, held from March 1–7.

Huge congratulations go to Mikaela Louise Reposar and Mikaela Louise Palacio for clinching the Bronze Medal in the Badminton Girls' Doubles category, and to Philip Blanco Jr. for earning Bronze in the Taekwondo Secondary Boys' Welterweight division. We also recognize Nathan Cyvonne Creer for his impressive performance and qualification in the Taekwondo Flyweight division.

From high-intensity rallies on the court to strategic strikes on the mat, these Marian athletes displayed exceptional technical skill and athletic drive to bring home the win for the entire region.

This success was steered by the dedicated leadership and tactical training of their coaches: Mr. Raymond M. Reposar, LPT, Mr. Ryan Igot, and Ms. Amelita Balderian. Their expert guidance and unwavering commitment throughout the tournament paved the way for our athletes to navigate a tough field of competitors and reach medals.

Mark Gabriel Burce clinched Gold medal on the 1500m dash in a Track and Field events, Secondary Boys, during the 2026 Eastern Visayas Regional Athletic Association, at Baybay City, Leyte.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | The entire school community is incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding participation of Miguel Mamerto Dinglasa and Wanda Jhane Marasigan at the recently concluded 3rd Religious of the Virgin Mary-Education Ministry Commission (RVM-EMC) National Research Congress 2026 held at Lourdes College, Inc., Cagayan de Oro City, on February 26–27, 2026.

Their study "Real-Time Attendance Monitoring with Parental SMS Notification Via RFID," is one among many studies presented where Marians showcased great dedication as they engaged with fellow scholars and educators, effectively bridging the gap between faith-centered values and cutting-edge inquiry.

A special commendation goes to Paul Erwin Morales, their research adviser, their research members, and to the whole SMAP administration led by our school principal, Sr. Ma. Grace G. Dañas, RVM.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | The Senior High School Research Colloquium and Final Defense was successfully conducted, marking a significant academic milestone for the institution’s young researchers. The event highlighted the students’ dedication, critical thinking skills, and commitment to scholarly excellence as they presented and defended their respective research studies before an academic panel.

The school extends its sincere appreciation to the esteemed panelists — Mr. Eduardo Edu Jr. C. Cornillez, Mr. Arnel L. Gamez, MAEd, and Mrs. Ronalyn Alavado, LPT — for sharing their expertise, insightful feedback, and unwavering support in guiding our young researchers toward academic excellence. Their expertise and guidance played a vital role in assessing the quality, relevance, and rigor of the students’ research work.

The colloquium and final defense not only showcased academic competence but also underscored the school’s commitment to fostering a culture of research, innovation, and intellectual growth among senior high school learners.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | In steadfast commitment to campus safety and emergency preparedness, St. Mary's Academy of Palo Inc. successfully conducted a comprehensive fire evacuation drill today. The exercise was carried out in strategic coordination with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Palo to evaluate our current emergency protocols and response efficiency.

By simulating real-world scenarios, the drill ensures that the faculty, staff, and students are equipped with the vital knowledge necessary to maintain order and safety during critical incidents.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | The entire school community, commends the Filipino Radio Broadcasting Team of The Marian Advocate for successfully representing the Leyte Division during the recently held Regional Schools Press Conference, where they demonstrated professionalism, discipline, and journalistic competence.

With their powerful voices and strong sense of teamwork, they carried the pride of Leyte and exemplified commitment, resilience, and passion for broadcast journalism. Their experience at the regional level reflects meaningful growth and valuable learning that will continue to shape their journey as young communicators.

📌 GRADE 7 ENTRANCE TESTING ANNOUNCEMENT FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2026-2027 📌

Incoming Grade 7 students for SY 2026–2027 may take the Entrance Testing at SMAP on February 7 & 14, 2026, with testing schedules at 8:00–9:30 AM, 10:00–11:30 AM, 1:00–2:30 PM, and 3:00–4:30 PM (maximum of 25 students per schedule). Interested applicants are required to pay a testing fee of Php 200 and submit a photocopy of their 3rd Quarter report card. Payment will start on Monday, February 2, 2026, and slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis until all available slots are taken. Secure your child’s slot early and begin the Marian journey with us!

𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗖𝗛 | As January comes to an end we look back that beyond the scores and the cheering crowds, the SMAP Holympics 2026 held on January 8-10 left us with lessons that stay long after the games end. From the court to the bleachers, we saw unity, resilience, and the true meaning of "playing for a higher purpose."

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | St. Mary’s Academy of Palo roared with joy as the school community came together for the culminating activity of MAPEH Month with the theme: "Ignacian Marians: Wellness in Motion, Creativity in Spirit, and Unity in Action", celebrating a vibrant showcase of talent, creativity, and holistic wellness, Friday, January 30.

The campus was filled with smiles and cheers as awardees from the month-long competitions were recognized, highlighting students’ skills in music, arts, physical education, and health. The event reflected not only excellence but also the strong spirit of teamwork, sportsmanship, and artistic expression fostered throughout the celebration.
