(SSCTI) commenced its Academic Year 2025-2026 with the First Institutional Morning Praise which marked the official start of regular classes for the Basic Education Department (BED), bringing together grade school pupils, high school students, Benedictine sisters, faculty, and employees in prayer and reflection at St. Ottilien Hall, July 14, 2025.

𝗦𝗦𝗖𝗧𝗜 𝗕𝗘𝗗 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

In preparation for the start of classes for School Year 2025-2026, both the grade school pupils and high school students of St. Scholastica's College Tacloban, Inc. gathered at St. Ottilien Hall for the General Students’ Orientation, July 9, 2025.

Sr. Mary Frances F. Dizon, OSB, the Basic Education Department (BED) Principal and School President, delivered the opening remarks. She discussed the Mission, Vision, and Benedictine Values of the institution. She also emphasized this school year's theme: "SSCTI after 25 years of Grace: Rekindling the Gift of God as Pilgrims of Hope," which primarily focuses on the values of Community and Service.

Following the opening remarks, various school programs and offices began their informative sessions, each led by their respective coordinators. Orientations were conducted for the Student Activity Program, the Business Office, and the GIYA Wellness Center. A lively dance intermission number was then presented by members of the Scholastican Indak Dance Troupe.

Orientations continued for the School Clinic, School Library, IT Department, High School Student Academic Program, and Student Formation and Services Program. Afterwards, the General Student Orientation concluded, providing students with a one-hour lunch break.

In the afternoon, students proceeded to their respective classrooms for the Advisory Class Orientation, where they engaged in a ‘getting to know you’ activity and were oriented about the Classroom Rules and Regulations by their class advisers.

The program concluded with students electing their classroom officers, ready to lead and begin the new academic year with purpose and enthusiasm.

Parents and guardians of both Grade School pupils and High School students from St. Scholastica's College Tacloban, Inc. gathered for the General Parents’ Orientation at St. Ottilien Hall, July 8, 2025.

Sr. Mary Frances F. Dizon, OSB, Basic Education Department (BED) Principal and School President, delivered the opening remarks, outlining the school's direction for the 2025-2026 academic year. The theme for this year is "SSCTI after 25 years of Grace: Rekindling the Gift of God as Pilgrims of Hope," with a strong focus on the values of Community and Service.

Various school programs and offices, including the Student Activity Program, Business Office, Registrar’s Office, GIYA Wellness Center, School Clinic, Student Academic Program, and Student Formation and Services Program, presented their respective orientations.
To lighten the atmosphere and provide a refreshing break between these informative sessions, the Scholastican Indak Dance Troupe performed a lively intermission number.

Following the general session, attendees proceeded to their children's classrooms for the Classroom Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) elections. Subsequently, the newly elected classroom officers, along with teachers, elected the General Parent-Teacher Association (GPTA) officers for the 2025-2026 school year.

𝗗𝗮𝘆 3 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁. 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮'𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗰𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗰. 25𝘁𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻

The afternoon of Day 3 of St. Scholastica's College Tacloban Inc.'s 25th Founding Anniversary Celebration commenced with an inspirational message from Sr. Mary Frances Dizon, OSB, School President with the alumni, school personnel, and faculty gathered at St. Ottillien Hall on June 5, 2025.

Dr. Antonio E. Lim, Jr., RMT, PhD, FPASMAP, Chairperson of the Department of Medical Laboratory Science and Director for Research, then recited an original poem detailing SSCTI's humble beginnings.

Following this, Ms. Lutheshane E. Luciano, an alumna of the Pharmacy Department delivered a captivating performance of her composed jubilee song titled "One Scholastican", together with Ms. Nicoleigh Lagartos.

A video presentation, "St. Scholastica Through the 25 Years," was then shown, chronicling the institution's many trials and triumphs.

Certificates of Appreciation were presented to the Pillars of the Institution by Dr. Wilfredo S. Israel Jr., RN, RM, MAN, FRIN, and Sr. Mary Frances Dizon, OSB. This was followed by video greetings from former employees and students.

The school faculty and staff showcased their talents through dance and song performances. After that, the silver anniversary dinner then began.

To officially close the three-day celebration, Dr. Israel delivered heartfelt closing remarks "As we end this chapter of our Jubilee celebration, may we continue to move forward together as one SSCTI community with faith, with unity, and with the unthinkable spirit of Ora et Labora." he expressed.

The third day of St. Scholastica's College Tacloban Inc.'s 25th Founding Anniversary Celebration began with a Eucharistic Mass officiated by Rev. Fr. Jose Marie Pareja, SVD and joined by students, teachers, school personnel, and the Benedictine Sisters at the St. Otillien Hall, on June 5, 2025.

Following the spiritual gathering, the morning transformed into a vibrant "Tapestry of Talent." Students from the Basic Education Department (BED) and various college departments showcased their mastery in singing and dancing, captivating the audience. Parents were notably present, offering enthusiastic support for the young performers.

As the morning celebration ends, it did not only highlight the diverse talents of the students of SSCTI but it also captured the spirit of faith, celebration and unity that defines the benidictine values.

Every year, on 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟐𝐭𝐡, Filipinos gather to commemorate the end of 333 years of Spanish colonial rule in the Philippines.

𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆 is a day to celebrate the resilience, strength, and solidarity of the Filipino people. Today, we revel in the 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 of the heroes who fought valiantly for the freedom of our nation. It serves as a reminder to honor all the people of our country for the sacrifices they made for 𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘆–𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔.

A day to reflect on how far our nation has progressed. It stands as a testament to the unbroken 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁. One that continues to burn nonstop even in the face of adversity, one that can never be extinguished.

May we always be free to express ourselves and continue to fight for our country's future. Let us remember that 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒅𝒐𝒎 is one of the souls of our nation, earned by our ancestors and national heroes from fighting for our freedom with their pens and swords to securing our liberation.

Let us recollect the past, rejoice at the present, and envision a future guided by unity, progress, and most of all, the unshakeable love for our nation.
