PHP387K SHABU SEIZED; DRUG SUSPECT ARRESTED BY ABUCAY PNP

In its relentless campaign against illegal drugs, on August 4, 2025, the Bataan Police Provincial Office, under the leadership of PCOL MARITES A SALVADORA, Provincial Director, successfully seized a total of 57.03 grams of shabu with a standard drug price of Php 387,804.00 and arrested a drug suspect during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Abucay Municipal Police Station at Brgy. Wawa, Abucay, Bataan.

The confiscated pieces of evidence and the arrested suspect are now under the custody of Abucay MPS for proper documentation and disposition, while charges for violation of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being filed in court.

The Bataan PPO remains steadfast in its commitment to deter the spread of illegal drugs across the province, in accordance with the directives of PGEN NICOLAS D TORRE III, Chief PNP, and under the guidance of PBGEN PONCE ROGELIO I PEÑONES JR, Regional Director of PRO 3.

SINUSPENDE DAHIL SA OVERCHARGING

Sinuspinde ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) nang 90 araw ang lisensya ng 11 taxi at Transport Network Vehicle Service (TNVS) drivers dahil sa umano’y reklamo ng overcharging sa mga pasahero sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

Ayon sa paunang imbestigasyon ng LTO-Intelligence and Investigation Division, sinisingil umano ng mga driver ang kanilang mga pasahero ng P200 hanggang P700 para lamang sa maikling biyahe mula NAIA Terminal 1 papuntang Terminal 3.

REQUEST TO THE HIGH COURT

Nanawagan si Sen. Kiko Pangilinan sa Supreme Court (SC) na ikonsidera ang suhestiyon ni Retired Chief Justice Art Panganiban na maglabas ng status quo ante order at magsagawa ng oral arguments ukol sa naging desisyon nito sa kasong impeachment ni Vice Pres. Sara Duterte.

Idineklarang unconstitutional ng SC ang impeachment noong July.

Sinabi ito ni Pangilinan kasunod ng inihaing motion for reconsideration ng civil society group na Tindig Pilipinas – isa sa mga naghain sa unang impeachment complaint laban kay Duterte.
