To know, when keeping shrimp pet in an aquarium like neocaridinas and other aquarium shrimp.
For everyone. Sa months na andito ako sa group, ilang beses ko ng paulit ulit na nababasa ang mga questions na eto. So I made a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and answers para sa lahat.
1. Tank size for shrimps? The bigger the better. Yes, kaya sa 3 gallons or 2.5 pero since sensitive sila sa sudden change ng water parameter, recommended at least 15g and up.
2. Water parameters of shrimps? Water Parameters for Neos: TEMPERATURE: 18 - 28C, TDS: 200 - 300 PPM, GH: 4-8, KH: 2-15, PH: 6.5 - 8.0
3. Need ko ba test kits like PH meter and TDS? Pano mo malalaman water parameters mo pag wala ka pangtest.
4. Ang taas ng PH ko, paano ko mapapababa? Pwede talisay leaves, driftwood, active soil e.g. ADA Gold Standard and Akadama Soil. As much as possible, wag gagamit ng chemical.
5. Ang baba ng TDS ko, paano ko mapapataas? Use mineral salt. E.g. GH/KH booster
6. Anong magandang soil pampababa ng PH? Ada Gold Standard. Number 1. Pero need mo haluan iba pang soil kasi ammonia leecher ang ADA soil para mabalance.
7. Ilang araw icycle ang shrimp tank bago pwede lagyan shrimps? 1 month at least
8. Dapat ba algae ang paramihin ko? Yes, maganda ang algae sa tank, pero mas okay focus ka sa biofilm ng tank mo.
9. Ano ang biofilm? Biofilm refers to a massive group of different bacteria, algae, and fungi, which shrimp and snails love to eat. These tiny microorganisms produce a clear slime that helps them grip on to the hardscape, plants, and substrate in your aquarium.10. Pano iacclimate and shrimp? Safest way is drip method. Ibig sabihin, doon tank mo, kuha ka silicon hose at magpapatak ka deretcho doon sa container ng shrimp mo. Gawin eto 2 hours bago sila ilagay sa tank.
11. Ano food ng shrimps? Shrimps are omnivores, ibig sabihin, kumakain both ng meat and vegetables. You can feed them talisay leaves, mulberry leaves, spinach, cucumber, sinking pellets, Algae Wafers,etc.
