To all our deacons and deaconesses, thank you for your faithfulness in serving God through preparing His sanctuary every Sabbath... God sees your loving service!
Cleaning the church may seem like a small task compared to preaching, leading worship, or teaching. But in Godβs eyes, there is no small service when it is done with a big heart.
When you sweep the floors, wipe the chairs, scrub the restroom, or organize the sanctuary, you are preparing a place for His people to gather. You are making room for someone to encounter Jesus. That act of wiping dust or arranging chairs becomes a form of worship when done with love and faithfulness.
Think about Jesus, who wrapped a towel around His waist and washed the feet of His disciples (John 13:5). The King of Kings did the lowliest taskβnot for recognition, but out of love and obedience. Cleaning the church is a beautiful reflection of this same humility.
You may not be seen by many, but God sees. He honors hearts that are willing to serve, especially in unseen ways.
So, the next time you hold that mop or pick up trash from the church floor, rememberβyou are not just cleaning a building. You are serving the king and His Kingdom.
Have a BlessedWalk.
