The Pope is traditionally buried in three coffins.

1. The Inner Coffin (Cypress Wood):
This represents humility and simplicity. Cypress is a durable wood, symbolizing the hope of resurrection and the eternal nature of the soul.

2. The Middle Coffin (Zinc or Lead):
