ST. CARLO ACUTIS BEING MOCKED BY INTERNET USERS It’s disheartening to read some comments questioning the Sainthood of Carlo Acutis. But the hardest part is to realize that the internet where Saint Carlo Acutis used to evangelize has turned out to be the same place that mocked him.Sounds familiar isn't it? I can't help but be reminded of the same scenario that happened to Jesus when the soldiers have mocked Him. They stripped off His clothes and went to put a scarlet robe on Him. They even made a crown out of thorny branches and placed it on His head, and put a stick in His right hand. They then knelt before Him and mocked Him. But what did Jesus do? Jesus did not reject the mocking. He stayed on the cross, bearing all our sins, experiencing and absorbing all the hatred and judgement of humanity, refusing to lash back and instead, He offered God’s forgiveness. 3 days after the mocking, He rose again from the dead. And now, here comes Carlo Acutis, A saint in the modern world, experiencing the same judgement by some people from the social media.Amidst all of these mockings and peals of laughter, what God wants us to do is to appreciate the power of forgiveness, because it is only in forgiving that they could no longer affect us. May we understand that these kind of people doesn't know, again, what they are doing. So instead of returning them the favor of being mocked, why not educate them? or at least, inform them of our dogma, because after all, Carlo Acutis' mission includes instructing the ignorant about our Catholic faith. 😃St. Carlo Acutis,Patron saint of the Internet,pray for us!
