𝙅𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙣 𝙝𝙖𝙨 𝙢𝙖𝙙𝙚 𝙖 𝙝𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙘 𝙥𝙞𝙚𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙝𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙘 𝙝𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮.

On September 30, 2025, the Imperial House Economy Council approved the creation of a new branch within the Imperial Family under Princess Nobuko, widow of Prince Tomohito of Mikasa.

Princess Nobuko was baptized Catholic as a child and raised in the prominent Catholic Asō family, making her the first known baptized Catholic to lead her own household within Japan's Imperial Family.

While this does not change Catholic teaching or the role of the monarchy, many Catholics see it as a reminder that the Church is truly universal. Even in countries where Christians are a small minority, the faith continues to endure and bear witness.

The Catholic Church teaches that the Holy Eucharist is not just a symbol or a reminder of Jesus.

At the moment of consecration during Mass, the bread and wine truly become the Body and Blood of Christ. This change is called Transubstantiation. Although the appearances of bread and wine remain, their substance is changed by the power of God.

Jesus said at the Last Supper, "This is My Body" and "This is My Blood." He did not say it represented His Body. From the earliest centuries of Christianity, the Church has understood these words literally and has worshiped Christ truly present in the Eucharist.

This is where many Christians disagree.

Because Jesus is wholly present under each Eucharistic species, the Church also teaches that Christ is fully present in every part of the consecrated Host, as long as the appearance of bread remains. Even the smallest visible fragment is not "less Jesus." It is Christ Himself: Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.

This is why the Church handles the Blessed Sacrament with such care. The sacred vessels are purified reverently, and visible fragments of the Host are carefully consumed. Catholics are encouraged to receive Holy Communion with faith, devotion, and in a state of grace because they believe they are receiving Christ Himself.

If the Eucharist is only a symbol, this makes no sense.

If the Eucharist is truly Jesus, it changes everything.

The saints understood this. Many spent hours in Eucharistic Adoration because they believed they were in the presence of the living Christ. The Eucharist was not one devotion among many. It was the center of their lives.

The Eucharist is not merely a gift from Jesus.

It is Jesus.

If we truly believe Christ is present in the Eucharist, it should affect the way we approach Mass. We genuflect before the tabernacle because Christ is there. We prepare our hearts before Holy Communion. We give thanks afterward because we have received the Lord.

So here's the question:
If Jesus is truly present in the Eucharist, should Catholics treat Holy Communion any differently than they do now?

Wala man pud nagtudlo ang Simbahang Katoliko nga si Maria kay Dios. Ang among pagpasidungog kang Maria dili pagsimba (worship), kundili pagrespeto isip Inahan ni Jesus.

Biblically, giingnan siya sa anghel: 'Hail, full of grace' (Luke 1:28), ug si Elizabeth miingon, 'Blessed are you among women' (Luke 1:42).

Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC 971): 'The Church's devotion to the Blessed Virgin is intrinsic to Christian worship, but it differs essentially from the adoration given to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.'

Busa dili 'naglikoy-likoy' ang Katoliko. Klaro kaayo: Dios ra ang among gisimba; si Santa Maria among gihigugma ug gipasidunggan isip Inahan sa Ginoo."

Simple question: Kung si Santa Elizabeth sa Biblia nakatawag kang Maria nga "Mother of my Lord" (Luke 1:43), dapat ba nato siyang insultohon o tahuron? 😊✝️🙏

Every Wednesday, Catholics around the world gather in prayer to honor Our Mother of Perpetual Help, entrusting to her loving care their worries, hopes, families, studies, work, and future.

The title Mother of Perpetual Help reminds us that the Blessed Virgin Mary never ceases to intercede for her children. Just as she stood faithfully beside Jesus from Bethlehem to Calvary, she continues to accompany us through life's joys, struggles, and uncertainties. When we feel overwhelmed by responsibilities, burdened by problems, or anxious about the future, Mary gently leads us to her Son and reminds us to trust in God's providence.

As the School Year 2026–2027 begins for many students and educators, this devotion is a beautiful opportunity to entrust the entire academic year to the maternal protection of Our Lady. May she guide students in their studies, strengthen teachers in their vocation, comfort those facing challenges, and lead every family closer to Christ.

Prayer to Our Mother of Perpetual Help

Mother of Perpetual Help, we come before you with confidence and trust. Place us under your mantle of protection and present our prayers to your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us in our needs, strengthen us in times of trial, and guide us always along the path of holiness. May we never lose hope, knowing that through your loving intercession, God remains faithful to His promises. Amen.

Our Mother of Perpetual Help, pray for us!

Today, we remember and pray for the eternal repose of the soul of Rev. Fr. Richmond Nilo, who was tragically shot and killed while preparing to celebrate the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on June 10, 2018, at the Nuestra Señora de la Nieve Chapel in Barangay Mayamot, Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija.

Fr. Richmond gave his life in faithful service to God and His people. His death shocked the nation and became a painful reminder of the sacrifices many priests make in carrying out their sacred ministry.

As we commemorate his 8th death anniversary, let us offer our prayers for his soul and honor his memory by remaining steadfast in our Catholic faith, devoted to the Holy Eucharist, and committed to living the Gospel of Christ.

✝️ Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord,
and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace. Amen.

As Catholics, our confidence does not come from charms, superstitions, or fear of curses, but from our faith in God who is greater than all evil. The Lord is our refuge, our shield, and our protector. When we live in His grace, remain faithful in prayer, receive the Sacraments, and trust in His mercy, we do not need to live in fear.

The world may speak about the “evil eye,” bad luck, or spiritual harm, but we remember the words of Scripture: “If God is for us, who can be against us?” Our protection comes from Christ, who conquered sin and death through His Cross. No darkness is stronger than the light of God.

This does not mean we become careless or prideful, but rather that we place our trust fully in the Lord. Catholics are called to reject superstition and instead cling to faith, prayer, and the powerful intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the saints. A heart rooted in God is a heart at peace.

May we continue to make the Sign of the Cross with faith, pray the Holy Rosary, attend Holy Mass, and keep our souls close to God. In Him, we find true protection and courage.

𝗦𝗔 𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗛𝗢𝗡 𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗔𝗞𝗨𝗡𝗔, 𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗞𝗜 𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗪𝗔 𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗜𝗡

Our Lady of Aranzazu, Patrona laban sa mga kalamidad, ipanalangin mo kami.
St. Emygdius, Patron laban sa lindol, ipanalangin mo kami.
