The Diocese of Tagum announces the new canonical changes of assignments of some of its clergy, involving appointments as Parish Administrators, Spiritual Directors, and Assistant Parish Priests in various parishes and pastoral communities.

These changes are part of the continuing pastoral life and organization of the Diocese. With each new assignment comes a renewed call to serve, accompany, and shepherd the people entrusted to the care of the Church.

To our priests receiving new assignments, may you embrace this new mission with humility, courage, and a generous heart. May the communities you are called to serve become places where faith is strengthened, hope is renewed, and the love of Christ is made present.

We also invite the faithful in the different parishes to warmly welcome their new priests and to support them through prayer, cooperation, and communion.

May the Holy Spirit guide our clergy as they begin these new responsibilities, and may Mary, Mother of the Church, accompany them in their ministry.

May every new assignment become a new opportunity to serve Christ and His people.

Please see the official announcement below for the complete list of canonical changes of assignments.

A moment of grace unfolds at the Christ the King Cathedral as the Diocese of Tagum gathers for the Ordination to the Sacred Order of Presbyters of Rev. Joel Calvo Genosas, from the Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Tagum City.

Through the imposition of hands of Most Rev. Medil S. Aseo, D.D., Bishop of Tagum, Rev. Joel will be configured more deeply to Christ, the Eternal Priest, and entrusted with the sacred ministry of proclaiming the Gospel, celebrating the Sacraments, and shepherding God’s people.

Today, a vocation becomes a mission.
A β€œyes” becomes a lifelong offering.
A servant becomes a priest for the people of God.

May the Lord who called Rev. Joel sustain him with His grace and make his priesthood a living witness to Christ’s love and mercy.

Let us pray with him and for him as he takes this sacred step in his vocation.
