At this moment, we pause to remember a hero whose bravery and dedication to the Filipino people have left an indelible mark on our history. His ultimate sacrifice stands as a testament to his belief that the welfare of the nation is worth facing even the gravest dangers.

This day calls us to reflect on the powerful legacy of Former Senator Benigno "Ninoy" S. Aquino, Jr., a man who confronted oppression and fought tirelessly for democracy. His courage and determination continue to inspire Filipinos to stand strong in the face of adversity.

In honoring his memory, we acknowledge the impact of his patriotism and his courage to resolve, which serve as a reminder that the pursuit of justice and freedom is a cause greater than any one individual. His life exemplifies the true meaning of sacrifice for the common good.

𝗧𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗔𝗠𝗜 𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗧 | The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) issued a tsunami advisory, urging residents in coastal areas to stay vigilant for possible 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗮-𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 and to keep away from the shoreline.

Based on the evaluation from Department of Science and Technology Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), 𝘁𝘀𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗶 𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿 in height are anticipated to affect coastal communities along the Pacific-facing areas of the Philippines. The initial wave activity is forecast to 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝟭:𝟮𝟬 𝗣𝗠 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝟮:𝟰𝟬 𝗣𝗠 𝗼𝗻 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝟯𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 (𝗣𝗦𝗧).

representing readiness for the future of technology. The light bulb is shaped for students and futuristic elements symbolize the building of digital skills and knowledge. The background featured the mission, vision, and values that will provide strategic directions for the way forward. This element brings together education, technology, and ethics, which acknowledges how the minds of the young will have in the digital transformation of the Davao Region. The colors contrast between warm and cool, celebrating opportunities and challenges set within the driving age of technology.

DAY 2 | PART 2

On Day 2 of our Art Month Celebration, LAYA artists explored unique art styles in a Digital Art Workshop led by Mr. Mel Zaimen Vallescas and Mr. Michael Aaron Puzon. Using the portrait of Dr. Joy M. Sorrosa, Davao del Norte State College President as their reference, participants pushed their creative limits in digital portraiture.
