𝙄𝘾𝙔𝙈𝙄: 𝙎𝙍𝘾𝙎 𝙃𝙤𝙡𝙙𝙨 𝘾𝙖𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙨 𝙅𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙢 𝙎𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙪𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙤𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙨

St. Rose Catholic School Inc. (SRCS) successfully conducted its campus journalism screening for all individual categories on Saturday, July 18, at the Our Lady of Fatima Building. The screening was supervised by the school paper adviser, Ma'am Jhenny Rose D. Cunanan.

Participants from the different individual categories were provided with fact sheets that served as the basis for their outputs. They were given one hour and fifteen minutes to complete and submit their entries.

Meanwhile, participants in the Sports Writing and Photojournalism categories underwent a different screening process. Instead of being given fact sheets, they covered a live-action game allowing them to experience real-time reporting and documentation.

The screening provided students with an opportunity to showcase their journalistic skills while preparing them for future competitions. The activity also encouraged aspiring campus journalists to further develop their talents and strengthen their skills in the field of journalism.

Do you have a passion for writing, storytelling, photography, broadcasting, illustration, or digital media? Are you ready to inform, inspire, and make a difference through journalism?

Pages of Possibilities

Every ending carries the quiet promise of a new beginning.

On the 8th of June, 2026, summer ends and school begins for the students of St. Rose Catholic School, Inc. Students look at the blank pages in their notebooks and can’t help but feel uncertainty. As their hand grazes over the blank lines with no lessons, no answers, and no memories, it feels intimidating not knowing what the future can hold.

Just like the pages, the school year ahead is also unknown. Every student approaches those blank pages in different ways—some look at them with excitement and euphoria, with the urge to make new friends and new memories, while some look at them with hesitation, carrying burdens that no one else knows about. Some carry hope, others perseverance. Some arrive with confidence, others with doubts.

For most, the untouched lines are a mystery and a reminder that the future is unpredictable and hardships are inevitable. The blank pages reflect uncertainties and raise questions like “What will this school year bring?” Yet, despite all these, the notebooks start the same way—with blank pages waiting to be filled.

As days pass by, the once empty pages start to become filled with notes, lessons, and new discoveries. Some pages are neat and organized, some show struggles and corrections, but one thing’s for sure, these notebooks record not perfection but growth.

While some are still afraid of the mysterious future, let it be known that every struggle, every obstacle, and every challenge is ephemeral. The blank pages that reflected uncertainties now reflect possibilities and a chance for knowledge to grow and skills to be honed.

The school year is a lot like a new notebook because no one begins with a complete story already written; instead, everyone is given the chance to write their own and the freedom to decide what fills them.

The future may be uncertain, but it’s also unwritten. It’s simply waiting for each student to write as they begin a new journey into the endless possibilities in learning.

Thank you Sr. Edna Soliman, OP. for your untiring dedication as our Campus Ministry head. Your continued support in the Rosaliman Community will be forever cherished. God bless you always Sister!

With deep gratitude and appreciation, we thank Sr. Edna S. Soliman, OP for her devoted service as School Ministry Head of St. Rose Catholic School, Inc.

Throughout her term, she faithfully led meaningful formations and missions that strengthened the spiritual life of the school. Through recollections, outreach programs, and faith-centered activities, she nurtured a community grounded in compassion, service, and a living relationship with God.

Sr. Edna’s wisdom continually reminded us of the importance of proclaiming the Gospel not only in words but through our actions. She inspired us to deepen our faith, remain steadfast in prayer, and become instruments of God’s love in our daily lives. Her guidance has touched the hearts of Rosalimans, leaving a lasting impact on our entire school community.

Today, we honor her legacy of faith, mission, and service. Thank you, Sr. Edna, for leading us closer to God and for shaping a community rooted in prayer and purpose. You will always remain a blessing to SRCS.

With hearts full of gratitude, we honor and thank Sr. Grace F. Tagnipez, OP for her remarkable 8 years of dedicated service as School Principal and Administrator of St. Rose Catholic School, Inc.

Through her visionary leadership, the school flourished, achieving academic excellence, strengthening values formation and fostering programs that nurtured both the minds and hearts of students. Her unwavering commitment to the welfare of the entire Rosaliman community created an environment where teachers, staffs, students, alumni, and families felt supported, inspired, and united.

Sr. Grace not only led with purpose but also imparted wisdom that will continue to guide us: to lead with compassion, to act with integrity, and to always place faith at the center of all we do. Her words and example have shaped a generation of Rosalimans, leaving a lasting imprint on SRCS.
