Adding a STRONG transgender woman character to the story is one of the highlights of Squid Game season 2.
The actor is expected to "break down stereotypes" with his portrayal as transgender in the popular Korean series.
He told Netflix about his character, "Hyun-ju” player 120 is a former special force soldier and a transgender.
She joins the game because she's short of money for her gender-affirming surgery. Even though she faces prejudice and tough situations, she shows incredible strength, decisiveness and natural leadership.
Through her resilience, she breaks down stereotypes and shines as an inspiring character.
