There’s a Giant RX-78-2 Gundam Look-Alike Standing Tall in Bulacan

Apparently, there’s a life-sized imitation of the iconic RX-78-2 Gundam right here in the Philippines, and it’s not in a convention center, it’s inside a water park.

Jed’s Island Resort in Calumpit, Bulacan is known for its wild mix of statues ranging from cartoon characters to superheroes and giant robots.

One of its biggest attractions is a towering Gundam-inspired statue that’s hard to miss. While the design is a bit deformed and marked with the resort’s logo, there’s no mistaking the resemblance: it’s clearly modeled after the legendary RX-78-2 from Mobile Suit Gundam.

For those unfamiliar, Jed’s Island Resort is a long-running family destination famous for its quirky, photo-ready attractions and themed pools.
