SUSPECT ARRESTED FOR STABBING INCIDENT IN MUNTINLUPA

Muntinlupa City, July 29, 2025 - This report pertains to the arrest of a suspect involved in a stabbing incident that occurred at approximately 5:30 AM on July 29, 2025, in Midland 2 Subdivision, Brgy. Tunasan, Muntinlupa City. The suspect was brought to this office at around 11:30 AM on the same day.

Initial investigation revealed that after dropping his son off at school, the victim was approached by the suspect, who instructed him to reprimand his siblings. When the victim turned his back, the suspect suddenly stabbed him with a pair of scissors before fleeing to his home. Witnesses immediately called the Police and Barangay Police.

Personnel from the Tunasan Police Sub-Station, together with Barangay Police, promptly responded and successfully apprehended the suspect. The recovered weapon, a pair of scissors measuring approximately 8.5 inches in length including the handle, was marked as DHM.

The suspect was informed of his constitutional rights in a language he understood. Both the suspect and the recovered weapon were brought to the Investigation and Detection Management Section (IDMS) for proper disposition.

Further verification through Investigation Solution and Automated Verification (ISAV) revealed that the suspect has a prior record for Frustrated Homicide dated January 15, 2024.
