Went to have an electrical issue fixed, only to get stranded due to an unrelated electrical issue!
The debugging process is such a pain, but we need to let the issues surface so we can fix 'em.

Thank you to HG South Alternator, my suki electricians near Loyola Sucat, for fixing the high voltage issue with the alternator. Also to the random rider kuyas who helped push the car to the Phoenix gas station near Loyola. Thank you to Phoenix for letting me park for a few hours. Thank you to the KVI Quiklube team for rescuing me and the car and tracing the next thing we need to work on.

Quick road test at the last working day of 2024. She has all her revs but boost is lacking at only 5psi indicated, might be a boost leak. Alternator is squeaking for some reason, it's not the belt.
Needs an alignment, air-conditioning, and a lot more touches.
She runs, at the very least. More debugging left to do. But she runs!

What if Hyundai N existed in 1997? This is our vision of a Coupe if it were tuned by N. Performance Blue with orange accents evokes racing colors streaking through the French countryside, paired with some aesthetic aero appendages for curb appeal.

There is beawn beneath the skin, with a serious 2.3L Hyundai Sirius II turbocharged powerplant infused with rally homologation parts and propelling all four wheels. In other words, it packs a 4G63T that's practically an Evo V in specs but sports a legit Hyundai block.

The car looks good now. But there's a few more technical issues that we need help with. But we shall persevere and unleash our Coupe N very soon.

Not a sponsored ad, but I'm very much happy with Solid Hitch and their line of direct fit hitch receivers. Even though the MG ZS is by no means an appropriate tow rig, the hitch was able to sustain repeated towing operations, pulling in excess of 2000kg for long distances. I'm such a fan of their quality I recently bought two more Solid Hitch receivers for my mom's cars. Looking forward to tow more with Solid Hitch products, perhaps with a new car someday hehe.

Help me pick a rear emblem package for our Project Coupe AWD. Car is in the middle of a repaint, so will need to decide on the emblem soon. Stock emblem is 3D sticker material and is perished after 27 years. 2nd pic is emblem layout options.

Rally Rolla transmission build #3 in progress.

When the racecar was first assembled, it had a C52 from a 4E-FTE with a long 3.7 final drive and a TRD L*D. Upgraded to a C56 from a 4AGE 20V and also fitted with a TRD L*D.

Now "downgraded" to a C52 from a Bigbody GLi, stock open differential. Just replacing the bellhousing to bolt onto the car's 1NZ engine. Couldn't yet afford to buy another L*D for this build so internals are stock.

This might just be the best budget compromise for our racecar. Got a good deal on the tr**ny and we already had the bellhousing on hand, so just doing the hard labor to get it to work. Gear ratios along with the 4.06 final drive might just be the sweet spot for a long first gear, decent all around acceleration, and not so high RPMs on the expressway. Wish it had an L*D though.
