The City Government of Muntinlupa is looking for:

𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗦𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 (𝗙𝗦𝗟) 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿

Basic Qualifications:
a. Filipino citizen, of legal age, with good moral character, and mentally and physically healthy;
b. Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Communication, Linguistics, Social Work, Psychology, or related field;
c. With formal training or certification in Filipino Sign Language (FSL) interpreting from a recognized institution or organization:
d. Preferably with at least 1 year of experience providing interpreting services for Deaf or hard-of-hearing individuals in educational, community, or government settings;
e. At least 8 hours of relevant training in FSL, Deaf culture, or accessibility services;
f. Preferably a resident of Muntinlupa City.

Minimum Competency Requirements:
• Demonstrates fluency in Filipino Sign Language and proficiency in spoken/written Filipino and English to accurately interpret communication between Deaf and hearing individuals.
• Understands Deaf culture, promotes inclusion, and ensures respectful and appropriate interpretation practices.
• Upholds ethical standards, maintains neutrality, and ensures confidentiality in all interpreting situations.
• Adjusts interpreting style based on setting and client needs, and actively participates in ongoing professional development in FSL and accessibility advocacy.
